I love watching more Mexican fighters that break the mold of the brawler face first type. Canto, Sanchez, Finito Lopez, Barrera, Morales, now Alvarez. He also reminds me of Cotto in how he's a calm, cool, smooth operator and uses timing, power, and angles. I really hope he gets better because I think he will.

Yes, I think it will be in TV. They are promoting him like the next in line on the mexican heritage.

He only needs to work in his defense, is still a little raw there. He has the tools hope he can take full advantage of them and a great chin also.

I just hope Golden Boy brings up the ranks properly and not ruin him by throwing him against elite opposition before his time. He's got great technique for a 19 year old.

Reminds me of a young DLH. Nice left hook...good jab to the body and head, very clean classic boxer style. Looks like a very promising prospect.

No it's not - it depends on many factors. Some fighters aren't ready to fight contenders until their 50th fight, some have to be moved faster than others. And nice to use an extreme example in Tyson as a way to illustrate your non-point.
