Surprised to see so many people boldly over-estimating Liam Smith. He's a work-horse. Totally unspectacular and he'll get outboxed and stopped by Canelo - who is levels above anyone Smith has fought.

 

Smith will try to grind Canelo down and he can always accomplish that but safe bet is Canelo by WIDE UD or TKO 11th round

Little update...

Levi Martinez (the one from the 117-111 vs Lara) is appointed as one of the judges.

 

Smith will win by SD and Levi Martinez will be the only judge on the red chicken favor.

 

Haha, Oscar's plan is coming together nicely I see. It's becoming like the WWE ffs.

 

There will be a fight where Canelo will suffer from the ridiculous weight draining he does, and i think with the extra lb this fight it could make this the one, but thats not to say he still cant win. He might just have a bad night but still be able to get the Win.

But He is facing a live opponent with no quit in him.

But as you said if anywhere near close Canelo will win for sure, so i would expect Canelo to win if it goes 12. Sad to say, but thats how it is. Score card for Khan canelo fight was ridiculous IMO.

Regardless of the outcome i expect a very good fight. But either way i expect Canelo to win, but want smith to win.

I am getting tired of Canelo, his new 155 weight division, and his diva like antics. But i do love his fighting style. I wish he would just man up and take his beating at 160 from GGG, or go down to 154 on a permanent basis.

 

Liam Smith is a tough but limited fighter and is not a strong enough pressure fighter to be able to trap Canelo and turn it into a dog fight.

Smith will be chasing air all night and frustration will set in around round 4-5 and any game plan would have gone out the window.

The only problem (and its no big secret) is if Canelo starts to tire, which will occur if he tries to force a stoppage. If Canelo takes his time he will win this wide on the cards but he could get a late TKO.

Prediction - Canelo by UD possible stoppage rds 8-12.

Probably in regards to Mayweather v Canelo and also Canelo v Lara...I imagine anyway.

 

I'm routing for the underdog Smith just because but Canelo will probably get the decision.
