Saul "Canelo" Alvarez vs. Lovemore "Black Panther" N'Dou RBR

Round 1

Both flinch and flex while facing off. They slowly begin to circle, with a smattering of jabs both ways. Alvarez stretches his left arm out and shakes it, loosening up and disregarding N'Dou as a threat. N'Dou isn't throwing many power punches, just very infrequent jabs. Alvarez is waiting on him, and trying to flurry past the jabs. An N'Dou lead right is countered with a hook by Alvarez, and a follow-up right that misses. Alvarez lands a jab and a looping right. Alvarez tosses out a few jabs and gets no reply, so he steps in to a body hook. N'Dou just watches him come, keeping his gloves up high. N'Dou jumps into a lead hook but quickly goes back to defense.

It's only like a fifteen minute delay, right? I saw something about ring walks being at 12:15, whereas they were at 12:30 on HBOL.

 

Round 2

Alvarez is throwing some mean punches, all perfectly straight. Jabs and right hands back N'Dou up until he stands his ground with a reaching right lead of his own. Alvarez starts swooping in to hook at N'Dou's body while trying to deflect some jabs coming into his face. Alvarez quickly bosses N'Dou to the ropes with his own jab and lands a nice body hook. N'Dou is trying to get cute, jabbing and retreating. Alvarez bangs him against the ropes. N'Dou peels off and waits for Alvarez in the middle of the ring, then springs out of a crouch trying to take his head off with a hook but misses.

Round 3

Alvarez whipping N'Dou's body with hard, stinging hooks from long range. When N'Dou tries to circle left or back straight up to blunt their impact, Alvarez lays in with the straight and powerful 1-2. N'Dou tries to get a few jabs in here and there and flurries his way off the ropes a couple of times but is getting walked around the ring and hit everywhere. Nice short hook by Alvarez backs off a boldly attacking N'Dou. Alvarez is simply smashing his way through N'Dou's guard, and getting off nice quick counters whenever N'Dou opens up. Lovemore finds no sanctuary, ushered from one set of ropes to the next.

As so eloquently put by N'Dou's trainer, "He's getting a bit closer to you and then Bap-bap-bap-bap!!!"

Round 4

Alvarez is coming on strong now with the 1-2, patiently battering N'Dou every time the Aussie tries to come forward and score some offense, and giving chase whenever N'Dou seeks out the ropes. Alvarez keeps cutting off the ring as N'Dou leads him on a wild goose chase. Nice body hooks up to the bell as Alvarez pins him in a corner.
