Yeah, he beat him down. He's now 7(4)-0 against average opposition since getting destroyed by Juanma. Does he deserve a re-match?

    Round 5

Alvarez launches one nice hard volley of straight punches after another. He continues to rule the ring, although N'Dou is still competently defending himself and of course helped out by his solid chin.

    Round 6

N'Dou is putting up a bit more of a fuss now, throwing a repeated 1-2 at Alvarez. The Mexican gives the international sign for "YEAH! Bring it!!!" and then explodes on N'Dou, landing a couple dozen punishing shots and slamming N'Dou into the ropes. N'Dou stays in the fight, and tries to grind Alvarez now against the perimeter with lead right hands and hooks. Alvarez sidesteps a lead right and digs a left hook into the body of N'Dou. They both slow down and dance around each other jabbing in the final moments.

That very nearly could have been an N'Dou round.

Canelo beat his chest a bit in the 6th round, before poudning N'dou into the corner. Nice!

    Round 7

N'Dou is pressing forward with his jab, and Alvarez is trying to rip into him with hard right hand counters. N'Dou goes fishing in the shallow waters, casting his line into Saul's belly. Alvarez begins to utilize some nice footwork, constantly turning Lovemore and pounding him with double shots at a minimum. Alvarez tires a little and leans against the threads for a respite, and N'Dou wastes no time in rolling in with a relentless 1-2 attack. Alvarez takes a few clean punches that turn his head slightly, but comes right back and starts knocking N'Dou around with sweeping right hands.

Through 7, the HBO Latino unofficial scorecard is 69-64 for Alvarez

    Round 8

Alvarez is looking slightly gassed but still coming forward and economically dispensing the 1-2. N'Dou goes for broke and starts winging overhand shots and wild hooks. He is warned for landing to the back of the head but continues his wide trajectories and winds up receiving another warning for rabbit punches. Alvarez jabs him into a corner and throws a short combo, but is arm-weary enough for N'Dou to escape unharmed. N'Dou still looks fresh, keeping his guard up and backing up around the entire ring, rolling his shoulders and looking to counter Alvarez with quick flurries.

This was almost as eligible an N'Dou round as the 6th. :think
