Saul "Canelo" Alvarez vs. Lovemore "Black Panther" N'Dou RBR

That constitutes a spoiler (in that we now know that nobody got knocked out in the 9th or 10th).

It's all good. Just please say no more.

 

Round 9

Alvarez and N'Dou take turns blocking one another's best shots. The difference is that Alvarez is able to block those of N'Dou more consistently due to his own punches being stronger and carrying more follow-through...and he's the only one going to the body (and going there well). N'Dou waits until Alvarez is pulling back a blocked jab to flurry at him and Alvarez is ready and waiting with a pair of hard counters right through the open arms.

 

Round 10

Alvarez pumps his jab into the face of N'Dou, but is getting caught with the 1-2. N'Dou is taking lots of risks, stepping through fire to land. N'Dou is showing a savage side now. Alvarez seems a little uncertain about how this makes him feel, and steps outside the sumo circle to mull it over. He then decides that the best course of action is to tear N'Dou's body to shreds with long underhand arrows from the outside. Alvarez wards him off with his wicked body attack for most of the remainder of the round.

 

Each almost-N'Dou round is more convincing than the last.

They're all even-numbered, too. 6...8...10...I guess he might finally win one in the 12th.

 

Round 11

Alvarez lands several jabs but has a right cross ducked under. N'Dou is dancing around confidently, but getting his face stabbed up. N'Dou throws a right hand that is meant to ask "Why'd you bring a knife to a gun-fight?!" but turns out to be about as effective a deterrent as a slingshot. Alvarez pushes him around the ring and lights him up a few weeks early for Christmas. Alvarez is landing especially well with the right hand, placing it like a nice big ornamental star on the very top of N'Dou's head.
