Saul Canelo Alvarez will put the final nail on Cotto's coffin

Cotto and Canelo are messing around GGG's weight class. Andre Ward represents a high risk, low reward matchup for GGG, Chavez and Froch offer a high risk, high reward matchup for GGG. It is obvious GGG would want to be properly compensated if he were to concede a size disadvantage. Stop pretending that size does not matter. Cotto has Golovkin's belt, if either Canelo or Cotto were not competing in his weight class, Golovkin would not even pay attention to them.

 

And why in the world would either of them concede a size advantage to Triple Duck rather than face each other? He can't offer them more money than they will make facing each other. They're proven champions and he isn't. He needs to do something riskier.

 

Triple G is the clown crushing cans. Canelo and Cotto have excellent resumes. He'll need to make quite a few concessions to land a fight with either as he's a clear B-side.

 

They are MESSING around in his weight class, get that through your thick head Golovkin would not care about Cotto or Canelo if they were not messing around with his belt :deal

 

Nope ,fight for the middleweight title at 160, no catchweights. Golovkin should not have to drain himself to challenge for the middleweight 160 belt atsch

 

Yes, but it is the reality. Same as the reality that he will only fight Ward @ 164. I don't like catch weights either. I think Canelo would be fine with 160 but Oscar will push for the CW.

 

But he's not th A-side so they can do it. There is nothing he can do for now except bide his time or go to 168.

 

Golovkin is not going to fight Ward for any title, he was not going to fight either Chavez or Froch for any title as well...:deal
Catchweights should only be acceptable if no title is on the line. It would not be fair that GGG would need to make 154 pounds to challenge for the 160 pound belt :roll: Also Canelo or Cotto would have no choice but to fight their mandatory Golovkin at 160 pounds.

 

Golovkin is a mandatory, the governing bodies cannot allow fighters to challenge a mandatory through catchweights.

 

Golovkin is really receiving some unnecessary hate these days, that means he's doing something right.
