I have heard thru the grapevine that GBP is gonna have Saul Alvarez fight on the Mayweather and Mosley undercard. Has anyone else heard anything about this and if so do you know who he is supposed to be fighting?? Just curious...thanks alot
Yes it is actually no longer a rumor. Alvarez has a prior contractual obligation in March, so I imagine his opponent will be carefully selected.
Do you guys think Alvarez should be started slowly or put into contention for a title at this point? I mean is he good enough to fight someone like Judah at this point?
Thanks a lot bro...Im really anxious to see what this kid is all about I've seen a couple of videos of him on Youtube but that's about it.
To be honest i really do think they should start em out slow cuz if he's as good as they're hyping him up to be he should blow right past who ever they set em up with and demand a real fight.
Berto Wanted him a year ago and his people knew the fight was about more than a year too soon. What amazes me about him is how from odd angles he can deliver his powerful right without setting for it. Canelo looks solid and if managed correctly he will soon be a champion.
Judah would be a good fight for him! I imagine he will face Junior Witter or Paulie before he fights Judah.
I don't think he's ready for someone like Zab just yet. But I hope he does get a solid opponent on the Mosley vs Mayeather card, someone on his level like Mike Alvarado or Brandon Rios.
Mike Alvarado has "Danger" written all over him and forget Brandon Rios GBP would loose one solid prospect out of that fight, not good for GBP. Somebody like Soto Karass/Delvin Rodriguez/Cosme Rivera level would be better suited.
that what i noticed too! He throws punches from the weirdest angles and lands the most solid punches! Young, Strong and full of talent..I cant wait to see what he becomes. I just hope they manage him well enough for him to reach his full potential
Isn't Brandon Rios a LW? Isn't Alvarez a WW? I've heard Matthew Hatton listed before so I'm going to continue to assume it'll be Hatton vs Alvarez.
