Mike Tyson was better at age 20-22 than he was in his 30s.

    This.

If he's not ready to fight the top people of the division then how can he be world champ?

At his age Benetiz was already a three division champion had and had beaten the likes of Antonio Cervantes, Tony Petroneli, Carlos Palomino, and Maurice Hope. Plus he went the distance with Ray Leonard. And in a few months later he would beat Roberto Duran.

Canelo shold be fighting top contenders at this point of his career than, before jumping to fights w/ the very top guys. It's called paying dues.

***** all you want, he still has the best resume of any active 22yo fighter out there, obvious talent and a shining future

Canelo will shut more than a few traps next Cinco de Mayo assuming Cotto doesn't duck the fight again:bbb

It's my understanding that Canelo wants Cotto or Mayweather and here's why; He beleves that Cotto is too slow and has lost a step or two plus Cotto is not big for 154. He wants Floyd because he thinks his size, power, and strenght will give him the victory, not his boxing skills mind you. Check this out, He don't want the winner of Cotto and Trout, just Cotto. He don't wanna **** with Sergio and I can understand that. Knockout loss) He is playing to his strenghts and I dont blame him for that but him acting like he is taking on all commers is bull**** cause at 154 you got tripple G, Bundrage, and the winner of Trout and Cotto (which I'm betting will be Trout ) Then you got that banger down in Forida named Thurman (What!) If he can run that table and drop down to 147 for Mayweathers ass then my money will be on him. Other than that, he can kick rocks cause Mayweather don;t need him to make money. He about to a stack on the Ghost. What he craves is legacy and he can only enhance that with Pac or Sergio.:bbb

Triple G will remain at 160 for a long time enough time for an eventual match with Canelo if he becomes a big name, canelo will be at 154 for 2-3 years max and his body will grow into a 160 pounder, the guys at 154 won't be able to handle him, canelo will get his wish for may 4th if not at least a top ranked 54 pounder will do.

I think Alvarez may be closer to his prime than many believe, and he could be wasting it by not fighting top 10 guys (who I think he would fare well against).

Rhodes was a top 10 JMW.
Mosley fight is the classic big name/crossroads fight that is to be expected.
Cintron was only a couple fights removed from being the RING #1 JMW.
    J. Cotto, Baldomir, and Ndou in 2010 at age 20 are all legit fights for the time.

Aside from the fact that he holds a "title" and that he got it from Matthew Hatton, I have no problems whatsoever with whom he has fought.

you mean morons that dont know kirkland was only going to be six months removed from arthroscopic shoulder surgery before fighting canelo?

or how about the fact that canelo wanted to fight the LOSER of willaims/lara(not one person thinks that paul won that fight) just like he fought the LOSER of molina/cintron.

what kind of champion seeks out opponents that are the losers of a fight as opposed to the winners?

you would have to be a moron not to see or comprehend this.

His record is under rated because be is in close eyes with a magnifying glass, a few money and business moves which were as always have been the norm in this boxing business, other then that he is well on his way specially if he gets his wish for may 4th.

Well he isn't a prodigy or a young legend like Salvador Sanchez who by 23 was an atg and shared honors with Sugar Ray Leonard as Fighter of the Year, but since he was given a belt its his obligation to defend it. I do think a win over a shot Mosley looks better today after watching Lara and Vanes those 2 let me and most fans down they are not as good as most thought even Mosley would give them a run for their money, even beat them. Yes by 25-26 he should be prime as it looks, but he has a belt so he'll be forced to fight elites earlier tho he has good skills and overall boxing ability his time with Golovkin will speed up the learning process and win or lose if he gives Cotto or Floyd scares before losing to them Canelo might still win the event. He's only getting better.

if he didnt have the wbc belt there would be no hate.

and thats why suliaman is not playing their **** anymore and is going to strip him.

it doesnt matter anyway. canelo is fighting a ranked top 10 jmw not coming off a loss next because the public wont allow anything else. hes painted into a corner and theres no other way out.

its really becoming a public joke at this point when every boxing message board is belittling the guy.

****, i got guys in my local gym(mexico) that dont even follow boxing laughing about canelo.
