Interesting fight for sure. Fighting a world title challenger already is pretty good.

No. Is "sugar" tough and intimidating? He has red hair and freckles, hence cinnamon.

Didn't Juan Diaz beat Cotto's little brother?
I'm interested in seeing Saul Alvarez and learning more about him. Can anyone recommend some of his better performances so I can try to find them online?

Probably the best opponent he's faced recently was Euri Gonzalez. Not super exciting in that one, but he got the job done. For "better performances", check Brian Camechis (great KO) or Lanardo Tyner (who he shut out). All of them should be on Youtube.

Detractors will also point you to Larry Mosley, against whom he struggled a bit, but you have to keep in mind that he was 19 years old when he took that fight, and he seems to have improved a lot since then.

Jose Cotto is a natural 135, Canelo is going to be too much for him. Should be a good scrap though.

You're right. He had just turned 18 when he fought Mosley.

alvarez has what it takes to be something special, he seems to have the ring presence of a grizzled vet(amazing considering how young he is), his counter punching is sharp as hell, add to this the fact that he has some serious punching power and you got all the makings of a star (hopefully)
