Saunders could of quit during the round he got his shattered eye socket or take a knee

You're acting like he's just saved a drowning baby from a river.

I'm not saying Billy quit (he didn't). But the fight was over when that eye shot landed. Billy knew that, Canelo knew that and the corner knew that. There's nothing heroic about letting the clock run down.

Also..Canelo isn't stupid either. He knew he'd seriously damaged the eye and deliberately avoided targeting the eye for the rest of the round.

Billy didn't take a knee because he knew he'd be pulled out in 2 minutes time anyways. What was the point?

 

No way in hell was Saunders ahead clearly. He could plausibly have been a hair in front.

Given the injury was caused by a punch, it's a bit like saying he was ahead until he was KOed.

 

If you had him up get your eyesight checked.
