I'd love to see Golovkin vs BJS who cares where it takes place

 

It's happened before. Calzaghe - Lacy started at 2am (?) wo appease the HBO crowd.

Golovkin should call it. I'd love to watch him live and Englands becoming a bit of a mecca for boxing.

Who is Saunders to demand anything ??? GGG is THE Middleweight Champ there isn't a 160 pounder who comes close

 

Hardly the point. It was delayed to a late start in the UK for a US audience. I'm in the UK, I don't remember the US network.

they "tried" to make the ward fight according to some here soooo....

listen....i dunno...weve heard one offer that came from k2...then we heard saunders say it was much less....dunno who to believe to be honest

but im fairly sure that they could do a better gate across the pond so i think it would make sense to maximize dollars if they can.....but i dunno if ggg fancies going into that environment

It's a fair point and could be done again. Saunders - Golovkin or Eubank - Golovkin would be huge in the UK and could easily be delayed to 2am.

 

I don't disagree that it would probably make more money over there, I just find it amusing that some traveler guy here says "no excuses for GGG" when K-2 obviously did just try to negotiate a fight with BJS and it got turned down

The fact is that GGG can sell out MSG fighting the Wades and Monroes and Heilands of the division and HBO will happily air it.

However, the gate for most US indoor venues is about 20K.

GGG vs BJS would easily do Wembley and with a solid undercard, do about 70-80K.
A co-feature with DeGale v Groves 2 or Callum Smith would make it all the more enticing, while K2 could throw Bursak in with Langford.

This would be an easy sell for UK PPV while HBO would have no problem airing it at 6PM with just GGG v BJS and DeGale vs ?. :think
