Saunders-Monroe Jr properly confirmed...

If Saunders isn't back to his best this is going to be a very difficult fight for him.

Career has totally stalled and regressed since the Lee fight. He said after the Akavov fight that he would never balloon up between bouts again and that that was his wakeup call...

 

BJS better turn up in shape or he will lose this one.

 

Hopefully Yarde will get a decent fight.

 

yarde burton is a great fight, hopefully eddie lets him fight on bt sport, would be massive for burton to beat the overhyped yarde then get another crack at buglioni.

 

Do you think Burton does beat Yarde? Really interested to see how Yarde does when he steps up in class as his dismantling of journeymen has been pretty impressive, not sure he comes across as the most likeable character though.

Back on topic, pleased to see BJS in a meaningful fight, I think he is the sort that needs to feel as though he's up against it to bring the best out in him. Even for Khurtdzside I question how hard he was training...

 

I think he beats Yarde on points or yarde stops him late ish like Buglioni did, Yarde hasn't beaten anyone of note and burton is a big guy and decent boxer, was beating buglioni till he ran out of steam at the end. Yes finally a good fight for BJS, although a fight he should win as monroe hasn't fought in ages (will be a year and 1 day come fight night). But i don't see either beating canelo or ggg.

 

If BJS looks anything like he did in his last fight then I fancy Monroe to win this on points. It's a tough test for BJS.

 

Turbo Terry Flanagan vs Felix El Diamante Verdejo on the same card according to the boxrec schedule earlier today, not sure if this is happening.

 

Good to see BJS have a step up again in quality, in reality he shouldn't be fighting anywhere below this level through choice. Should be a good boxing contest over 12 rounds as both guys are technically gifted without carrying power. Billy should win but agree if in shape last time he will lose, though I think Dominic Ingle and Gregg Marriott will have him in good shape physically.

 

Was quite awkward watching the press conference and seeing BJS rattling on about how Monroe Jr quit against GGG and Dom Ingle was just sat next to him silent lol.

 

I'm confident he'll win this and quite possibly stop Monroe Jn later on in the fight.

He's not a popular chap and is very outspoken like his mate, Tyson, but he certainly knows how to fight.

 

I'm going to have to go and watch the presser, got sent a couple of quotes, not sure if they are true but one made me actually laugh out loud.

Monroe Jr is a decent fighter and wasn't being completely dominated by GGG until his bizarre quit job. That was a bottle job in the purest form, not the Kell Brook fight where he was legit in a life changing situation.

Monroe won't quit against BJS cos there's no power so Billy can forget about that. That being said, a 100% BJS dismantles Monroe Jr easily and stylistically has a decent chance against the top dogs at 160lbs.
