bjs never really tries to push it to the limits and stops people he boxes within himself, its part of his style. blackwell and spike also had a lot less success against bjs then they did eubank.

he is not really better, both fighters he stopped one was stopped on hsi feet and the others corner gave up when he was still throwing back

against bjs they barely landed a punch against eubank they had success

Blackwell is in an induced coma (hopefully he will be out today)

    Blackwell vs BJS
    112-117, 113-116, 114-115

    ...alright then.

induced coma, does that not say anythiing to you. eubank didnt put him in acoma

saunders takes rounds off when his winning, bjs performed way better against spike then eubank

and styles make fights, eubank is still the low skilled pressure fighter, bjs is still the slick skillful fighter who has his number

Yeah I heard he just likes to be put in comas for no reason. Nothing to do with the punishment he endured. Geez man.

eubank didnt put him in a coma and 90% of the time these things are done for precautionary reasons

It is a tough one to call. On the face of it, it looks obvious; close first fight because of Eubank's slow start then BJS fading late. Eubank also being more inexperienced at the time and him improving since leads you to believe that he would win a rematch. However, his victories over Blackwell, Chudinov and Spike are just as much down to having a tailor made opponent who stands in front of Eubank, as it was down to Eubank's technical and strategic improvements. BJS win over Lee shouldn't be overlooked either. Yes, the fight was dull to many fans and it was a chess match for large parts. But, BJS fought a good fight and at times showed skills that would frustrate any MW in the world.

Ultimately, for me, the main deciding factors in a rematch would be BJS better technique and more rounded skill set, Eubank's power advantage and both guys inability to properly pace a fight. This last point decided the first fight and could very well decide the rematch.

Jr has learnt to pace himself very well, have you not seen his last 4 fights?

he cant pace himself against bjs though, if he wants to win rounds against bjs he has to throw the kitchen sink at him for the full 3 minutes to win the round

I basically agree and I think if that's what it takes Jr will do it, the more Jr works the more BJS will work so it is quite beneficial for Jr to set a high pace IMO.

He wants BJS to be gasping for air because he has better stamina.

but thats not really the case because bjs has a good defense, he can have eubank working his ass off and if he is clever still be able ot relax and conserve energy

richie woodall made a good point, eubank fought in spouts against blackwell then blackwell would leave eubank relax and leave him stand off, bjs has the skill to be up in his face the whole fight and not leave him relax

He wont be wanting to be up in Jr's face because that's where he is most dangerous. BJS is much more comfortable fighting from range, it would be a poor tactic on BJS's part to do that.

Eubank fights in spurts and his technique gets incredibly ragged when tired. Against stationary plodders this is ok. Against a technically gifted and hard to hit opponent in BJS, this could be a problem.

I don't think he has ever been tired in any of his fights and against BJS late in their fight it wasn't him who was looking ragged.

I think Eubank Jr takes him in the rematch, just a far better fighter now then the first fight and BJS hasn't really impressed me.

Saunders was before and will always be too smart for Chris Eubank Jr. as far as who performed better against common opponents, that's like comparing apples and oranges, Mayweather shut out or came close to with Marquez, Cotto, De La Hoya, Hatton and Mosley yet Pacquiao his fights against JMM notwithstanding, performed far better against them than Mayweather did, and guess what Mayweather still beat Pacquiao in spite of that, same applies to Saunders and Eubank Jr's common opponents, BJS doesn't fight like CEJ and vice versa so that POV is null and void. BJS will always be too good for CEJ.:deal
