Ingle is a good fit imo...if he beats Monroe and looks good he will be in line for the bigun.. another unification !! it is good for boxing
Who's everyone? I've seen no indication that he's looking to cash out. He wants to fight GGG/Canelo so to me that shows that he wants to unify the belts.
hard fight but in the right shape he will win this one. Hope he is training hard in sheffield and turns up in shape Huge payday to follow if he does the job here
True 20, but he has lost a loooot of fans with his antics in recent years. You know the scummy talk he goes on with , the lack of discipline etc. Lots of us had high hopes for Billy Joe when he skated past spike o Sullivan and similar early wins...but he blew it. Been a big disappointment to a lot of us.
didnt defend his title for a full year just talked and talked about golovkin and only fought so he didnt get stripped of the belt still didnt keep active after am a fan of saunders but he has not done his career any good
debatable, 1 fight in nearly 2 years against an unknown russian which he lost, cant take him seriously until he fights GGG, Canelo, Jacobs, Lemeuix or Eubank rematch.
If BJS comes into this fight in as good shape as has been indicated recently, and with the same kind of mentality as in the Lee fight, I see Monroe getting timed with something heavy and stopped in the first half of the fight. Anything less than that and this is a 50/50 kind of affair.
I was one of the people who was really excited about bully Joe Saunders when he appeared on the scene. I've gone so far off him nowadays that I will literally be cheering for Monroe in this one. Never thought I'd say that but it's true. I hope Monroe teaches him a badly needed, and very well deserved lesson.
Me too. And I'm Irish! It was amazing..nobody would listen to me when I told them Bill would beat Andy....then for months afterwards I had people coming up to me stunned saying "wow you were right"....as if it was some amazing achievement to ....you know....pick the better boxer to win an...er..."boxing match".!!! Actually Andy did better than I expected, and like you I regret his losing now that I've seen how Billy Joe has turned out...
Its a sufficiently tough fight to motivate BJS to fight well, and he should win. However BJS is on the slide, and he may end up without that cash out fight he was looking for. GGG is likely to retire before BJS finds his man balls and a fight can be made.
BJS seems to be focused for this one and looks in good shape at this stage... Which is frustrating when you think about it, why can't he have this attitude for every fight? I think he'll cruise to a points decision or if his thoughts on Munroe's heart are accurate then perhaps stop him late on.
