Saunders vs Murray off again

Anything to further delay a showdown with Golovkin.

 

3 fights in 12 months is a sign of an active fighter. If he truly is injured, that is.

 

how many the previous year? no idea, not looking it up at the moment.

 

Twice in 2014 and twice in 2015. But then he had a 12 month layoff. Only once in 2016 and after a 9 month layoff he fought again twice in 2017. He was supposed to fight early this year, which would have been his 3rd in the last 12 months.
But it seems like BJS is gonna have another long layoff. It´s already been 6 months.

 

he also fought some garbage in that space. the guy just doesn't seem to want to fight.

 

He had two tuneups and he then stepped it up. Things were looking good after Lemieux but here we are again.
BJS wanted to fight...but yeah...

 

guess we will see what he does next.

 

Saunders is good at canceling fights. He has refused to fight Golovkin for years!

Seems like the WBO isn't stripping him, but creates an interim belt instead.

 

I was under the impression that Murray had retired

 

Saunders has so much potential but sadly is getting old overnight without even testing himself.
