Yep, BJS got his wish, I'm surprised to be honest, obviously he was deadly serious about going home or they wouldn't have done it.

Anyway, This isn't finished, 100% the hand wraps will be a problem on fight night, they have said Canelo over wraps his hands.

So they will insist they are rewrapped, rewrapped again, they will waist a huge fuss over the wraps.

The fans want it, selfishly, I want it. How confident are you of getting in the ring with Canelo.

Just WTF is Andrew Mccart babbling on about here?

Think Saunders has already won. His confidence, his body language, his words, his attitude, his old man, his mate Tyson fury. Canelo has been gypsied

So many people writing off BJS.

If the BJS vs Lemiuex turns up, I can see this being a long night for Canelo.

A better version than that BJS can turn up and he will get turned into a canvas sniffer. The difference in ability is staggering

    The voice of reason ....

The delusion on here regarding bjs I'm staggered by....it's all based on blind faith rather than anything he's done in ring

It’s genuinely mind blowing. At first he was bigged up because he was a Warren fighter and it was the cool thing to do and hate on matchroom guys (or so I thought).

A career best performance against David Lemieux 3 1/2 years ago. Lemieux’s best wins are probably Rosado, Spike and N’dam.

Since then he fought at light heavy against Adamu, Isufi, Murray all of which left a lot to be desired. And let’s not forget he was seriously struggling with Coceres who has since just been beaten at Argentinian domestic level for the national title.

Honestly some of you are absolutely deluded, I don’t see anything pre Lemieux that causes Canelo any trouble and post Lemieux has been really **** poor at best. The Saunders “best” version against Lemieux would get walked down and the ring cut off. You’re talking about the best boxer of a generation here with solid fundamentals, ring IQ, power, ring generalship.

    There’s no chance.

    Canelo TKO 7.

If this forum is a measure of how UK public are feeling can you imagine what a weekend for bookies it will be?...

Eubank jr has put 10k on canelo stoppage at evens ....you know he will be rubbing that in Saunders face

I agree with almost all of your post, even the best BJS which for me was probably either in his run up to winning the title (beating Spike, Blandamura, CEJ and John Ryder) and then Lee, or like everyone wax’s lyrical over, the Lemieux fight who was tailor made for a boxer that can stick and move effectively for 12. I would agree that he has shown literally nothing since Lemieux - I thought he was lazy against Martin Murray who was well past his best (arguably MM’s last good world level performance would have been 2015 against Abraham.)

The only part I disagree with is that I don’t see Canelo stopping BJS. I think Billy would rather survive and go 12 - take some sort of moral victory - than go out on his shield actually trying to win. I think within the first 4 rounds BJS will get hurt, quickly realise he can’t outbox or beat up Canelo and go into survival mode. Hope I’m wrong but that’s how I see the fight going down.

For me I completely agree with anyone who says Saunders is a better boxer than Callum Smith but Smith carries proper power at the weight and is a monster in size and range. Saunders lacks these natural benefits. I think Canelo closes the distance down a lot easier, gets inside and punishes the body and that’s how I see him getting stopped.

You'd think most people in here started watching boxing yesterday. The posts suggest that a boxer needs to demonstrate some sort of linear progression which falls in line with their forthcoming bout. There are countless examples of boxers having done nothing prior to springing the upset. History tells us what is possible in particular contexts, and boxing is no different. Two men in a ring. Of course, you cannot beat Alvarez on the cards, but that's not Saunders' fault.

I haven't seen anybody say that they are certain Saunders will win; just people saying how they feel it's possible, which it is. You'd think Alvarez was some sort of mutant terminator the way you lot are going on. It seems to me that certain people are getting riled up just because people are giving Saunders a chance.

The gypsy culture often antagonises people here and we have a good moan when we see them suddenly congregating on a Harvester pub car park or a playing field making it look unsightly and other stereotypical things that happen.

So I have to admit that it weirdly fill me with a nationalistic pride when I see a product of Britain's subculture getting up the nose of a great fighter (like Fury did with Klitschko in 2015). These foreign fighters think they're fighting a Brit...and they are, but a completely different kind of Brit with a different etiquette, who see nothing wrong with letting their kid run loose punching other fighters in the nads at weigh ins etc.

Saunders is going to use every inch of that ring on Saturday and will revel in the boos he receives from the 70,000 crowd. His ambition will be to go the full 12 imo but I think Canelo will find him before then tho.

    Anything is possible

    It's a fight

It's about likelihood, if anyone really believed that BJS will win, then post up your bet slips, he's five to one on. The people saying he can win don't really believe it, other wise they would be lumping cash on him.
