I'm just glad this fight is happening, so many fights that fans want don't happen. At least these two have the self belief and willingness to step in the ring with each other and put it all on the line. Whoever you think will win, we should be witness to 2 of the best female boxers on the planet right now facing off to prove who's the best and just because one of them loses it doesn't mean they are overrated or over hyped, both are clearly head and shoulder above the rest.

Will Shields speed be too much for Marshall, or will Marshall's reach, size and power negate that advantage. Can Marshall break her down or will Shields be too elusive and smart and pick her off? Neither have faced anyone half as good as the other as a pro, so I think it's really hard to predict a conclusive winner.

I get why people are picking Shields she has that amazing success and pedigree as an amateur at the highest level and looked near unbeatable as a pro, she the more proven fighter. But Marshall definitely passes the eye test, highly skilled herself, the win over Shields in the Ams and of course that rarity in women's boxing, fight ending power. Marshall ticks a lot of boxes but the one thing you have to wonder is can she put it together when it counts, she should of done better at the 2012 games where she was the favourite and now as a pro with even greater pressure will she mentally fold or has she matured now and will perform when it really counts.

I'm picking Marshall but I think it will be competitive and wouldn't be shocked if Shields won.

I f you check past posts you will note I predicted Fury to beat Wilder big time in the first and 2nd fights. I did not make a prediction for the 3rd fight because I knew Fury would do something stupid and reckless which he did but said everything I knew meant Fury should stop him in the 3rd fight.

Shields is better, more accomplished , better skills and has beaten a higher level of competition and she has more confidence. When the going gets tough Marshall will quit.

You can't kill someone by winning a soporific 12 round decision over them.

If Jake ''Money'' Paul detonated that nuclear right hand from hell of his on Floyd's chin you'd be worshipping at Floyd's tombstone instead of his altar

Nah mate . She's got no power. She'll put on her running shoes but the Gypsy Queen will catch her and pummell her.

Same thing people said Hammer would do to shields and Hammer was much better and more proven than Marshall.

When or if, I'll watch it if it isn't too pricey to feel good about buying it.

Hammer was arguably more proven than Marshall having had more title defences and more fights in general but in terms of skills and power Marshall on another level hell she's on another planet.

Hammer is your pretty standard up right Euro style boxer, hands high, jab, right hand, out boxer. Marshall is a completely different beast, she like Shields plays with distance, constantly changing range, dropping her hands to draw leads to counter. Marshall has great lateral movement too, offensively and defensively, always changing angles on her opponent. Her punch variety too is far greater than Hammer's.

As for power comparing Hammer's power to Marshall's is like comparing Tyson Fury's to Mike Tyson, there is no comparison. Lindberg took Hammer 10 rounds twice, Marshall crushed Lindberg in 3.

While Shields beating Marshall is a possibility, I don't think Hammer is a good reason for thinking that. Marshall is far better than Hammer and anyone else Shields has fought as a pro.

Another factor is that Savannah trains with Hughie 'Shades of Ali' Fury on a regular basis. This is perfect preparation to face Shields. The Fury's have the Shields handbook, and they know all the tricks of her trade and how to deal with them.

Fair post but Hammer is better than anyone Marshall has faced as a pro and Shields is also better than anyone she's faced. Atleast Shields has an elite level opponent on her resume she's proven to be great.

Marshall is going to beat the crap out of Bumessa Shields. No chance. Gap in skills is huge.

Of course Olu the agenda driven clown is backing Shields...but we know what happened with Usyk/Joshua and how he predicted that outcome based on his agenda.

Agreed. As I said in my first post Shields is far more proven especially when the pressure is on, you can't write off her chances and if anything she should be the favourite based on accomplishments.

But looking at Marshall I see skills you don't commonly see in women's boxing, same with Shields, I'm far more impressed with their two skill sets than any other female boxers. Which is why this is the best fight that can be made in women's boxing, this for me is like a female Leonard/Hearns.
