Marshall will stop Shields, I have no doubt.

 

That's the kind of opposition that exists in that division tbf.

 

Clareesa is going to take her soul. Remember I said this! There is a reason Clareesa is the GWOAT. Clareesa is from the mid-West and has the best skills ever in women’s boxing. There is a reason she is a 2 time Olympic Gold medalist and undefeated in 3 divisions including being unified and undisputed champion. When Savannah gets in with Clareesa, Peter Fury won’t be able to help her.

 

The biggest mistake Clareesa made was to leave Mayweather Promotions where she could have learned from the wizards of Michigan. Clareesa is going destroy that girl.

 

@Serge and @CST80 there is a reason why the best fighters in the history of boxing come from the mid-west USA. Savannah Marshall is going to find this out if she has the guts to get in with the GWOAT Clareesa Shields.

 

Who is this Clareesa you keep referring to? Is she related to Claressa Shields?

She is a 2 time Olympics Gold medalist and has won world titles in 3 weight divisions including unifying the title. So she has achieved a great deal which Marshall has not as of yet. Savannah Marshall is good but she has a fragile psyche and when it comes to skills Claressa is on a different level. I would point out to you again as a boxing guru that Claressa Shields is from the mid west USA specifically Michigan from the best boxing schools in the world. Stylistically has it occurred to you that Claressa is a nightmare for Marshall who has yet to face adversity as a pro. I believe when it gets tough in there she will fold but the beautiful thing is we get to see it soon.

Now I know many of you don’t like Claressa for the perceived lack of humility etc but the eye test ,the skill sets and achievements don’t lie. I like Savannah but she is going down when she steps in with Clareesa. Right now Peter Fury and the UK fans are pumping her but this will lead her to deflate. The silly girl actually said Claressa cannot last 2 rounds with her .

My favourite women fighters of all time are Laila Ali and Lucia Rijker. I also had a soft spot for the Coalminers daughter. Who are your favourite women fighters of all time?

Being totally honest, women's boxing has passed me by to a large degree; I've just not found reasons to connect with it. Boxing is a sport of skill but it also needs that backbeat of brutality - the ever-present possibility that one of the fighters might get KTFO - even if that KO never happens. Take Fury vs Wilder. Imagine that fight but where neither man was capable of stopping the other?

I think I've said elsewhere on the forum, Savannah Marshall's power gives her fights that kind of jeopardy and maybe she has drawn me in to women's boxing. I will definitely watch her fight with Shields, should it get made.

Generally-speaking women should fight three minute rounds too...
