Shields thought she was coming over to box Marshall at Wembley. That's how dumb the non-British female boxing world thinks Britain is. They see it as a land of opportunity, an island of dumbasses willing to give major platform to events there's little organic market for, and they're right.

I get your humanity, I'm not belittling it. But you've got a lot of work to do cleaning it up, man. You can't just stop at Ann.

There’s a lot of bad things in the world, people’s attitude towards things, bad mentalities those things are hard to change, but you can’t have people with those attitudes towards things in anything professional, and especially if it affects there job, in this case it’s a ‘tough’ attitude on a trainer allowing sparring like this, the guy is clearly overmatched, I will say this, hard sparring is ok in mid camp, but if it becomes clear that one of the boxers is overmatched or someone gets caught and hurt, it has to be stopped or toned down, they just let that guy take a needless beating, that isn’t helping anyone, maybe boosting Kirkland’s ego, and is not helping the other guy at all, it is damaging and needless, but like I said nothing wrong with hard sparring between 2 similar level people to sharpen them, but if someone gets hurt it should be stopped or toned down

 

For all his goofiness, that guy has raised one interesting point about this matchup in the past, i.e. Marshall's historical (pre-pro) reputation as something of a choker. I don't know how much that reputation is exaggerated or not, I don't know her amateur history (other than that she has the one win over Shields), but I saw evidence that there might be some degree of truth in it in this evening's bout. I haven't watched as much of her as other guys here, but she looked a lot more composed and flowing in the stuff I have seen. Tonight was about setting up the 'big' showdown with Shields, and there were signs of anxiety in her performance. In the 'big' one, opposite a better opponent than the broad she fought tonight, that might, just might, become an important factor. Shields is repugnant but authentically assured of herself (I don't agree that she's prepared herself for defeat at all).

As I said earlier, there's a near unanimity here regarding how a fight between two undefeated titlists will play out. When that happens, fate is often tempted.

 

You're missing my point. What are you doing about it? Just ragging on the one gal who's honest enough to let people film and upload this stuff? Doesn't seem like she's a hypocrite to me.

 

I don't want to **** on your parade, but... Claressa Shields is way better than all of Marshall's opponents combined. So don't be that sure that Marshall will KO Shields.

In my opinion, we will watch the female version of Usyk vs Joshua. Shields will school Marshall and win by wide unanimous decision.

Okay, but it comes off like you think Ann is the worst perp of this particular type of conduct. Rather, she's just real enough to let it be out there.

My point was, the woman is nothing if not honest.

 

It’s still wrong that she let that go on, even if it was posted, who knows if it wasn’t the person filming the video that posted it too? I could post a video of me robbing someone at gun point, of course it’s better that I’m honest and showed everyone l, but it would still be wrong that I did that

 

It probably was, and very likely with Ann's blessing. She's pretty public about how she rolls.

But g'head and keep focusing blame on her for a culture that existed before her and that will, in all likelihood, continue to exist after her. I've said all I need to say.
