this aint about who floyd gonna fight. this about the fans getting their voice heard and telling the powers in boxing we respect those who earn it in the ring not just some guy who never fight and have millions on twitter [YT]HtyEfpSVW3E[/YT]
Amir Khan is a two time World Champion who has won two on the spin, one of his 3 losses was against somone who had been using steroids amongst other dubious irregularities. That fight should have been declared a NC. He was outboxing Garcia till he got hit with a lucky hook. He BEAT Julio Diaz, no one disputes that. Julio Diaz could have beaten current world champ Shawn Porter. But most of all:He BEAT Maidana. Amir Khan speed is unrivalled in boxing, its a much more intriguing and competitive match up than flat footed slugger that is Maidana. He brings much more to the table than twitter followers. Show some respect, and stop embarrassing yourself you *****ole wasteman.
The Khan fight has been rumored and talked about for awhile now for Mayweather, all of a sudden Mayweather wants the fans to chose? ......and you have alot to learn if you think quickness and speed are the same thing. Quickness is reflexive. The ability to get off a punch faster than your opponent. One single punch determines quickness. Both throw punches at the same time, which lands first? Speed is determined in the flow of mulitiple punches. The ability to cram punches into a small time frame, thats speed. Who can throw a 4 or 5 punch combination from start to finish sooner? Ray Leonard could throw a blur of a combination, 5 to 10 punches much in a smaller time frame than Tommy Hearns, thats speed. Hearns on the other hand was quicker, he was able to reflexively get off a single shot and have it land before Leonard landed his. Thats quickness! Class dismissed!!!
Oh, I'm not saying there's an abundance of better fights out there, only that we quit calling a turd a diamond. Let's call them as they are. There are some 154 pounders out there that could make a good go of it. Lara might be interesting; Kirkland could be fun. At 147, Pacquiao of course; Bradley would be interesting. I don't think any of them would be the favorite in the fight, but at least the style matchups would make for better sport. Much better than these offerings.
Give me a break. If it were about the fans getting their voice heard, neither of these guys would be next.
A prime Zab Judah is by far more talented than Khan. Zab had more speed power and quickness than Floyd, along with being a southpaw. But boxing is a THINKING mans game. Khan would fall to floyd like the rest.
