    Vs. Froch

First of all, Dirrell is definitely the superior boxer. Way faster hands, defended pretty well, landed the cleaner punches, very nicely timed counters and for the most part stayed away from the ropes.

It was a tough and competitive fight, but I favor one round to Dirrell and that's being nice (also with the point deduction)

One thing I noticed is that Dirrell lost his wind in the middle rounds and his legs weren't as strong. The reason why Dirrell kept going to one knee wasn't necessarily because Froch was pushing him down, but more because his legs are skimpy, especially when hes running out of gas. After the middle rounds he got a second wind and started to push again.

Dirrell also fought pretty dumb in the middle rounds. I'm guessing it was because he lost some gas at that time. I also see hints of him fighting like an amateur. He starts running unnecessarily, which can be understandable from a hard hitter like Froch.

But from what I saw, with a small degree of technical flaws, Dirrell is a solid fighter that can probably give Andre Ward a very tough fight. Tougher than Froch imo. Dirrell just needs to work on the mental aspect of the game. At times I can see his weaknesses show when his second wind didn't come yet.

Rounds 4-5 were utter schooling. Looked as if Dirrell was gonna completely sominate the fight. Something definitely happened to Dirrell in rounds 6,7,8,9 though. I think it was Froch's rough tactics throwing Dirrell off his game him being so inexperienced.

However Dirrell recovered and hurt Froch in round 10 and rounds 11 and 12 were pretty onesided.

6-4 2 even for Dirrell was my scorecard.

Dirrell was a good fighter with a lot of skills. I always said Dirrell would have given Ward his hardest fight. With that said he's been way to inactive at this point to be considered a threat which is a shame because he was a good fighter.

What a ****ing shame too, dude has (had?) crazy potential, and most definitely posed the biggest threat to Ward at SMW

I would happily pay to see that fight but it will probably never happen

I had Dirrell winning that fight clearly, he also boxed the **** out of Arthur Abraham as well and thats not exactly an easy thing to do

Yeah I always wanted to see Ward in there with someone who would have the extreme handspeed advantage and who's a better athlete than he is. It would have been interesting seeing him trying to overcome that. We saw a little of it with Dawson but he was too drained.

Except when Froch did it better. Oh, and Ward. Neither of those guys were put on their arse either. RIP Andre Dirrell's career.

Is this a term when a fighter does so good that he sodomizes and dominates his opponent simultaneously? Because I thought that's what Dirrell did to Froch that night.

Can anybody bring me up to date on what his brother Antony Dirrel is like, I hear he's supposed to be a bit of a beast and as Andre seems to be out of the picture now it would be interesting to see if his brother could make it anywhere in the division

Watch how he beats up, outclasses and drops Abraham (an unbeaten Abraham who'd just Bulldozed Jermaine Taylor)

yeah Andre won that fight clearly imo 7-5. With the deductions, that'd have him winning by a point. He does have crazy potential though. I'm glad he's working with Floyd Sr. now who notice Andre throws a short jab and doesn't try to land with it.

his brother has a lot of power and pretty good handspeed. Very good timing and accurate. He worries me about his footwork or lack of. He always just stands in one spot and fire counters at you coming in which has worked, but I wonder how it'll hold up in future fights.

I believe I gave Dirrell the fight 114-113.. But I wasn't really impressed, and I am not really surprised or shocked that Froch won, Dirrell did look like the better boxer for a portion of the fight, but he threw it away.. It was a fight that he probably could have won, but lack of mentality and sense cost him..

The Jermain Taylor Froch beat previously? The Jermain Taylor who Froch's detractors revel in pointing out was shot to **** before Froch beat him? That Jermain Taylor? Some real interesting double standards in here.:nut

    Dirrell beat Froch quite clearly.
