Man what a classic last week! I havent been on here in forever so just giving yall my take. I've been to many fights Live but this one is probably the best i've seen Live! Atmosphere was out of this world, so loud, so many fans from both sides, card was an all out slugfest, damn what a night. For the score card I had a draw. Mares won the first 3 rounds on my card ( i rmeber round 3 was close), cruz one the next 3, Mares won the 7th round and i think i gave Mares the last 2 rounds. It kinda of reminded me of Mayweather-Maidana. Cruz was land cleaner (Like Mayweather) and Mares was throwing alot more and landing also (Maidana). the 9-3 score cards are STRAIGHT BS!!!! No way u can get 9-3, i dont see it at all. i thought it could've been 7-5 Mares, 7-5 Cruz but i dont see 8 rounds to either fighter. Man the cards really ****ed me and a bunch of ppl off. **** needs to stop. Only 1 judge got it right if you ask me. Anyway what a classic, i would love to see a rematch but i dont think itll happen for awhile. :bbb:bbb
It was a good fight. Good one to be at... Leo won that fight clearly, however. Give it another watch.
117-111 to Leo is actually a legit score. I would say about half of the posters in the RBR and discussions which followed came up with that score.
Yeah 117-111 was apt, 116-112 at best for Mares. He got outpointed from 3rd round on. Although the result was decisive it was still a great fight.
lmfao buck quit trolling, or pass that **** you're smoking, you in 3 other people scored it that way . It's impossible to give Mares 7 rounds.
Cruz-Mares weren't no draw. I had Mares sweeping the first four rounds and then losing 7 of the last 8.
That means you had it 7-5, you couldn't see one other close swing round in the 7 you gave to Santa Cruz? Then you would have a draw.
Not really. Mares didn't do squat after. Also, I'm a little :rastabut I want to revisit this later... all I remember is that I was oh like, oh shi- Mares swept the first four and then I saw nothing from him again. :smoke
I had money on Mares but didn't think he won at the final bell. Cleaner work came from LSC, Mares started very well but after two rounds LSC looked in control of most of it to me.
117-111 was right on the money It was a great fight both guys gave their all. Santa Cruz just had a little more to give
