    Thanks (for both posts), I appreciate the response. I was curious as to whether the injury came from repeated targeting of the area (ie game plan ) or if it was an accident? Given what your response was, seems like it might've been a little bit of both.

    @Outlander

    I do think it was a combination of both, and although Mayweather still threw punches with his left after that, he himself said he didn't really know when it occured, he only said he thought it must have happened when they engaged and their arms got tangled.

    mayweather is always bringing up some injury to make an excuse why he didn't knock out his opponent. maybe he really is getting old and is breaking down like martinez?

    I thought Mayweather landed plenty given the compubox numbers and canelo's face at the post fight presser

    Very slick through, but, seriously, is this the first time you've seen Money May fight? The days of the Pretty Boy have long been gone.
    He has been pretty conservative on his offence for a long time now.

    If you watch All Access in his Guerrero fight, Floyd mentions that he needs to fight smarter than ever because he is 36 years old. Also, as he ages, his hands are more brittle.

    He fought the perfect fight against a hungry 23 year old. He left the ring hardly hit with a cool $41MM in 36 minutes. I believe he has 5 fight contract with Showtime. Why would he go all out on his 2nd fight when he has 3 more to go? He needs to preserve his body.

    What I liked seeing was how Floyd was enjoying the fight and the challenge.

    People get this mixed up.

    This is boxing, not brawling. The art of sweet science is hitting and not being hit, something that Floyd mastered.
    People can call him a weasel all they want, the truth is, he is a wizard in the ring.

    You got that right. If anything it was rigged to make it easy for Floyd to win. From the catch weight draining Canelo, to the press love fest, everything lined up to make this easy for Floyd and hard for Canelo.

    And you're right, most of the guys on this forum wouldn't know shhhhh about it, because all we're really hearing about is how there some conspiracy to make Canelo win. Hardly anyone is being honest about what happened. And it's a freaking shame. This was supposed to be a classic fight, with two undefeated fighters called "the One". We'll yeah the only "One" was Floyd Mayweather pulling his crap. He's the One who messed up the event with their sissy catchweight, robbing the fans of a true SuperFight at 154 that would satisfy everyone's boxing cravings. Instead, we get a half assed pu$$y fest by Floyd.

    You want milk and cookies with all that crying? :roll:

    First, there is no conspiracy...if anything it YOUR and all the Canelo's fan boys fault who OVERLY hyped him and YOU thinking that he was the next Rocky Balboa! lol!

    Floyd schooled the hypejob, does not matter dude! With or without CW. Canelo had a 15+lb advantage on fight night and STILL was schooled. He could have come in at 225lb and still get beat. Get over it. He lost, Canelo did not even CLEARLY win a single round. He landed ONE clean shot on Floyd.
