Say Cotto or Floyd pulled out through injury

Cotto v Floyd is a great fight, but having another 154lb title fight on the bill does give options if one of the main event pull out. Lewis v Vitali was a better bout the the original top of the bill.

If either Floyd or Cotto pulled out would the Alvarez v Mosley become the main event, or could Alvarez become the replacement?

Doubtful.Mayweather is the draw here in terms of PPV.The whole economics of the fight change and the venue(MGM) would want to re-negotiate the terms of the site fee and Cotto would want the lions share of the purse monies. It would be a tangle.

Floyd pulls out it gets cancelled, that's the end of it. If Cotto pulls out I suppose Alvarez could get the fight since Floyd has to fight someone because of his jail sentence.

Would Alvarez want any part of Floyd though?

You have got to respect Vitali for stepping in and facing Lewis

Alvarez would himself want the fight but I don't think his handlers would at this stage of his career.

As far as Vitali goes yes he has nuts but it was also a chance to catch Lewis out which he nearly did. It was well known at the time that Lewis wasn't in the shape of his life, combine that with the late change of opponent and it was a caculated gamble.

He would have fought Alvarez if Cotto had fought Pac, it would be unlikely but not impossible that he steps in if anything happens to Cotto.

Hopefully its Floyd vs Canelo straight after for the unified title. Looks like it is time to give up on Floyd vs Pac. Pac has looked awful 2 fights in a row, lost his last fight and the allure is gone. He has improved but he still has issues with a boxer and will decimate a fighter.

I want to see Alvarez vs Floyd some time,

if that **** happens next year, dare I say it would be a passing of the torch event? WAR Canelo anyway.
