Dude really where have you been? After Margarito beat Cintron he was a hype train. Lots of people wanted the fight with floyd back then this was before the Cotto fight. Were you not into boxing back during the "Arum Offered Floyd $8 million" days. I am not saying that Floyd wouldn't have beaten margarito but he definatly turned the fight down and it was a fight that a lot of boxing fans wanted.

If you go back in time and count the number of people that wanted floyd vs margo I garantee you that it's way more than the number of people that want to see floyd vs marquez now.

BTW I googled what you said and the only thing that came up was a link to this thread

I dont know why people dont understand this margarito thing. Floyd was offered 8million from his crooked ass promoter to fight Margarito. Floyd feels that Arum was cheating him out of money. Arum also wasnt doing business with Golden boy becasue of a personal feud. So Floyd decides to take over his own career, buys out his contract with Arum, and then ends up securing a 25million payday for fighting DLH. Thats good business

The only fighter on this forum that was really hyping Margarito was capfunds. Everyone else saw that he had lost to Williams, and had lost to Daniel Santos. There were a few lol moments when he crashed Mayweathers presser, but that was it. Cotto was the massive favorite heading into their fight. There were maybe 3/4 posters, Fox, Ramshall ect who were really hyping Margo to win.

Mayweather offered Margarito a spot in place of Judah, Margacheato fought Gomez. Its been discussed here plenty times.

Williams only started calling out Mayweather when he was out then Williams went on to lose to Quintana. Mayweather has been calling out Mosley since he was an lightweight, Mosley has been doing a far more serious job trying to get a fight with Pac than Mayweather. Margarito was a nobody back then and the same year Mayweather retired he got his ass whopped by Williams. Just like Mosley ditched Mayweather for being unknown back when he was calling him out, Margarito is in the same position.

If you want a fight you enforce it. Margarito's team were ditching Williams when he was calling them out and they asked him to become a mandatory if he's serious, that's what Williams DID and forced the fight. Did Margarito do anything like that to secure any big fights?, sorry but fighting Manuel Gomez does nothing.

Hatton never called out Mayweather, all he said was that Mayweather was boring. Paul Williams has called him out, and Mosley has called him out for about 5 years now. Floyd cherrypicks and fights fighters who are much smaller than him. I give him credit for going up to 154 and fighting DLH, but that's about it.

Floyd wants nothing to with men bigger than him, you all saw what DLH was able to do and he was old and shot.DLH would have knocked him out easy in his prime, and he was robbed of the descision anyway.Paul Williams would kill that ****** easy, Mosley would ko him in the later rounds and Cotto would ko him with a body shot in the first half after Floyd takes a break from running circles around the ring.

Dumb post. How has Mayweather been falling smaller men while moving up from 130-154. he easily beat DLH. Only a fool (like you) thinks that it was a close fight or that he loss.

Mosley already ducked him. Cotto has been protected by Arum. But I do agree that Paul williams would have presented a huge challenge. He;s the only one who i think could be capable of winning.

But how is that ur bashing Mayweather for supposedly fighting smaller men, but u see no problem with him fighting a guy who's now a middleweight..

Floyd is the one how is ducking welter king Mosley and then goes to espn to insult him, while he fights a unranked opponent at welter (Marquez).

Cotto is not protected from anyone, Floyd is using the money excuse to duck him, and he did so for a few years.

You guys aren't really arguing a very valid point here are you. The original thread post claims that all you have to do is say floyd's name and you get a fight. I gave an example of 3 fighters that have asked for fights and not gotten them. I could name more like say vivian harris for example.

You guys are not denying my point you are simply agreeing with it and then giving excuses. I'm not saying Floyd is scared of those guys, I am not saying they would beat him I am simply stating an undeniable fact. All of them asked for fights and were turned down so no getting a fight with Floyd is not as simple as the thread starter makes it out to be.

lol oscar pressured pbf but that's it most of his punches missed or were blocked we call that ineffective pressure that's why oscar lost he could really hit floyd and floyd went up to 154 to fight oscar floyd at 130 would have still beat a prime oscar you put prime oscar vs floyd at his best weight 130 oscar would have still lost prime oscar still lost fights no different here

DLH was the one who pressed the fight , put some punches together and showed his boxing class while Floyd pot shotted DLH gloves and then running scared around the ring. DLH lost a few rounds in the second part of the match because he was a old ,shot and was tired of running to catch Floyd.
