Is this worst era for HW's in the history of the sport? Holyfield going after Valuev and now Riddick Bowe wants to make a comeback and take one of the Klitschko's:patsch If the heavyweight division was packed with more athletes instead of burger-munching whales like Toney, Peter etc. then maybe the golden oldies would have a serious re-think about trying to make all these comebacks. Apart from the Klitschko's, Haye who else out there in the HW scene is actually in shape, by that I mean less than 70% + bodyfat??

Riddick Bowe has already screwed up his chance at a comeback... That crap he started back in 2004 was and is plain garbage... Bowe is a thug and an embarrassment to the racket of boxing....:?

I've folllowed boxing for a few years and the lard arses of the 80s were considered a pretty poor bunch, Larry Holmes aside but they **** all over the current batch of muppets.

Mr.Bill, with all due respect, show Bowe a little gratitude, if not respect. He gave us quite a few good wars in his prime.

Riddick Bowe is showing signs of being brain damaged as it is, this is very sad how can anyone applaud this comeback?

He could easily be seriously hurt.

Yeah Bowe came to San Jose,Ca a few months ago and appeared on a local Classic Rock Station and said he would like to make a comeback by whipping "..what's his name? Ahhh...Vitali Klitschko I think".
He looked pretty shocked and down right scared in the audience after Peter quit on his stool. **** I'd bet the house on Peter to KO Bowe.

Aside from a few fights, Bowe really is a moron from Brownsville.... His out of the ring actions clearly show and state that... This Marine Core bullcrap he tried, and the kidnapping of his ex-wife and kids at knife-point was pretty stupid..... I've lost a lot of respect for guys like Riddick Bowe and Mike Tyson..... AND! I never liked or respected Mitch "*****" Green at all........ Oddly, Shannon Briggs has seemingly turned out to be okay people in society....:thumbsup

I wouldn't necessarily say that I applaud a comeback of his, but I feel that every man has the right to make their own decisions about what they are going to do with their life. If he needs a way to support his family and feels that boxing is the only route, I can see that.

Bowe at 41 can longer expect to make a good weight of 235 to 250 pounds in 2008.... But, he could train hard and still make the type of 258 to 262 that George Foreman was fighting at in the 1990's..... This stuff near 300 pounds and those "Corn Rows" in his hair make Bowe look awful..... Bowe is NOT dedicated at all......

Surely you're joking. The heavyweights today are pathetic! Valuev? Toney? Strongest era?
Of course no one has 70% fat, that was an illistrative exaggeration, not meant literally. These guys today hardly train, they have busts like ladies, and pot bellys. The Klitchkos are in shape at least, but Wlad especially is no All Time Great, to say the least, not the way he folds like an accordian when he chin gets caressed.
You really think any one today would have a whisper of a chance against a 70's Foreman , prime Frazier, or pre 1976 Ali?
