If he beat Calzaghe pretty convincingly I think I would put him at #6 1) PBF 2) Pac 3) Cotto 4) Vazquez 5) JMM 6) Pavlik
I can understand people being upset at the Hoya rematch. However, logic and common sense dictate that a rematch pretty much had to occur. The first fight broke all types of financial record and was extremely close on the scorecards. As far as a Hatton rematch, that's still far from a certainty. I see no reason to criticise fighters for fights that aren't even close to being signed. Like I told another poster, if Cotto does well against Margo and the fight is any type of success, a Mayweather/Cotto fight will be much bigger than a Mayweather/Hatton rematch. As a result, the Cotto fight would get made before the Hatton fight. Furthermore, I think Hatton is going to struggle against Paulie. This will further decrease the demand for a Floyd/Hatton rematch.
I just read down through this entire thread. I was impressed by the quality of the debate. I had actually forgotten how good ESB used to be. Over the past 2 years ESB has declined almost as much as Kelly Pavlik. We have the *******s and *****s to thank for that.
*hahaha... i will say it..Pavlik has a flaw..he can't beat boxers ..fighters that move alot... end of story..Pavlik loses 10 of 10 against Cal... stupid thread.
atsch, these were opinions people made well over 2 years ago when Pavlik was rampant so don't try to come here acting like a smart ass.
**** man i know. it's hard but if you want to see decent discussions you have to go to the classic but what if you want decent discussions about CURRENT boxing?? you want to really pick and choose lately. the quality is **** and people sign on, made a few smart ass remarks and are never seen from again. the really quality posters are pretty sporadic and careful in their posting lately imo
Wait a second, if Pavlik beat a retired Calzague, he's going in the PpP's list? How about Pascal has already beat Dawson in the PpP's list, did wayyyyy better against Hopkins than Pavlik where the fight could end in both ways and he's still far from the PpP list. How about a tread, if Pavlik is canadian, are we talking about him? Or Do we have to be americain, to be consider in the PpP list? Constancy pls
