Off course! It's gonna be the best win of his since Kovalev is a KO artist and he's undefeated. Besides, Kovalev is at him prime now.

A bit of me dislikes Ward and doesn't want to admit it, just because he's made himself so dis-likable. But if he took down Kova convincingly, I'd say that's a fair call for putting him definitely within the top 200 ATG list.

But I realistically don't see him doing it. That's not to say he can't, I just think Kovalev is far too hard a puncher, and far too accurate. It all comes down to Ward's inside work, and if he can get there consistently. Kova is my fav at the mo, next to GGG and Porter, so there's always that bit of me that doesn't wanna concede that Ward stands a chance. But I think he does stand a chance, being at his level.

 

Kovalev is the most unstoppable man H2H in boxing right now. It would an incredible victory.

Has very good wins over Froch and Kessler, but neither compare to Kovalev.Dawson was dehydrated, so that one shouldn't really count. His skills undeniable, but so are Kovalev's. Kov would be his best win by far and vice versa. Best win of this era, no way.
