1) He ends his fights with knockouts. 2) His stamina has yet to be an issue despite the weight. 3) He could probably knock out some of the top level guys. Will be beat Wlad, Vitali, Haye, Chagaev? No. Almost certainly not. But he could probably give someone like Povetkin a hard fight, and maybe knock out some other names in the division. Keep it up, Chris! :good
Yeah, his stamina was crazy for being 20 pounds above what even his camp thought he'd be at... Still depressing to see both guys' bellies jiggle when a body punch is thrown, though...
An Arreola-Povetkin fight could be a real war and because they both have good amatuer credentials there could be some great boxing thrown in for good measure. Both men are big, strong and in their primes. I really hope they make this fight. Both guys should stay away from the Klits, especially Wlad who will just jab them to death from distance in a borefest.
Love fighters that end fights with KO's. I love the fighters that never let the judges have a say in the fight. Clean Ko's. Arreola has some heavy hands, and I can't wait to see him fight again. That is what boxing is supposed to be about, exciting Ko's. You know, the one's that make you say, "he's not getting up!! It's over!!!". I think Arreola has a better chance of beating Vitali than Wlad. Arreola would destroy and kill Haye. Haye wouldn't know what to do with the pressure Arreola would apply to him. Areola would Ko Chagaev, I think . I haven't seen much of Chagaev, and what I saw, I think Arreola would win by Ko.
Just imagine if he was 20 pounds lighter. He would be a lot quicker, which would give him a better chance against the top guys.
Maybe he's afraid of getting stretch marks on the tattoos. In the Ring Life about him, his wife seemed like she tries every day to change his career. Probably stuffs Krispy Kreme into him non-stop to force the issue.
I had Christobal TKOing McCline in 7, my bad. He's fat and always will fight fat- he won't be as powerful at 235. I know it goes against the grain, but he has great relexes at 250 lbs. Maybe 245 is ideal.
Povetkin and Arreola would be a war but i think Povetkin would win if only due to his better boxing skilss and he is alot more refined. Arreola v Haye just got alot more interesting imo. Arreolas recent two victories have in my eyes surpassed the victory of Hayes over a shot Barrett and he should be ranked ahead of Haye ( in most places i see Haye ranked in at 4). Great victory for Arreola.
Arreola is damn exciting. Just what the heavyweight division needs now to breathe back life into it. Although you'd really like to see him come in at a reasonable weight so that he could maximize his potential in there.
He needs to get down to about 240 - his punches would be just as powerful because his speed would be improved.
