Say what you want about Arreola fighting Vitali, but...

As far as my saying Arreola may very well quit on his stool I'm not really questioning his heart as such. I have seen a few Arreola fights where he was hurt and came back to win.
However there is world of difference between showing heart to stay in a fight where you are evenly or closely matched in ability with your opponent, and you show a fighters spirit and courage to win. Another thing altogether to show the heart to win when you are badly over matched, as I believe Arreola is in skill, speed and strength in this match.
Through many years of watching boxing I have seen few boxers with this real level of courage, heart and desire, I will mention a prime example of this , Gatti.

Arreola is something of a hype job. He has never fought a top-10 fighter, his defense almost non-existent, and his conditioning a joke - and now he is getting in the ring with a champion who has an insane KO ratio, who has never been cleanly knocked off his feet, and who was winning on the cards in both of his losses (which were caused by injury).

His manager should be punched out for putting Chris up against the champ before he is ready. Arreola is going to take a horrific beating in this fight. And I get to watch it live from the floor seats!

From pics of them both standing by Vitali, looks like Sanders is taller than Arreola to me.

That about sums it up, yes. But I think they took the Vitali fight offer cause he kept coming back with it, and then finally gave in on the third offer. Vitali didn't have anyone else to fight, and he saw Arreola, as weak as he is, as still the best money making fight of a poor lot to pick from. Seeing as how Haye and Valuev are not options, right now.

If Arreola loses, I hope it doesn't destroy his spirits. I hope he can bounce back, he could still be an exciting fighter down the line.

I don't believe in Arreolas KO chance, Vitali's chin is too good.
I think Arreola has a chance to win on points if Vitali is worse than usual. At his age he very well may have an off-night.
The most likely result is a late stoppage win for Vitali after leading sth like 6 rounds to two. It will certainly be competitive.

That's a bit of spin doctoring isn't it? You can call the loss to Byrd "caused by injury" but I don't see how that applies to Lewis punching half his face off.

I forgot about this possibility, Arreola could win on cuts , too.

(BTW he's much better than Peter.)

When was the last time you saw Vitali move well? Frankly, I can't remember it. Vitali's bad back will force him to stand there and trade, if that's the strategy Arreola takes. Granted, Vitali will probably block most of it, but it's not like he's able to move out of the way.
