okay I would just like to say that MOST of the time I wonder what harold Letterman is smokeing while judgeing his fights, but last night I though he was on point NO question in the Mosley-Mayorga fight.

if one fighter throws 40 punches and lands 2, and the other throws 60 and lands 6 the one with 60 and 6 wins unyless those 2 punches wobble THE HELL outta the guy hes fighting.

it was a simple matter of who was landing punches and it was Shane Mosley. I agreed with every single round to be honest, I though Shane was easily leading at the time of the stoppage.

a terrific fight ended in spectacular fassion, and the right guy won the fight.

so for the rest of you who disagree with me: get in the ring and you'll understand what I'm talking about.

Is this even open to debate? Mosley was clearly ahead by at least five rounds.

What??!! this is the first I've logged into ESB since watching the fight (I saw the 1:30 HBO replay today, without knowing the results ahead of time). I thought Mosley lost three, maybe four rounds if you're being generous to Mayorga. It was a sloppy mess of a fight, kind of Hopkins/Calzaghe-esque at times, but clearly Mosley was well ahead on the cards at the time of the KO. And what a KO that was! Beautiful.

are you serioustly sugjesting that mayorga landed the more telling and cleaner blows of the fight? even untill the 12th Mosley only got caught clean a few times and he had been landing BIG shots on Mayorga's chin.

who lands at a higher connect percentage makes a huge differance, and I scored the fight without seeing the compubox numbers (dirrectly after each round like your suposed to)

Mayorga fought well but diddnt do enough to win, and eventualy got knocked out(again) so.....deal with it, I dunno what else to tell you.

These people here apparently score for wrestling and back of the head clubbing, which Mosley did his fair share of too in retaliation...But he didnt seem to ***** for nothing as much as Mayorga did..

I dont think the half of these dudes watched the fight.

its either 2 or 3 guys who all watch and press a button every time someone lands a jab or a powerpunch....If I remember right.

I totaly agree with all that.

actualy i think Mosley WON fighting Mayorgas style. I also think though that Mayorga showed alot of improvement and could and should fight another top 10 guy whos maybe easyer to hit like Cintron.

I will also admit though that shane diddnt look terrific untill the final round...but I'm of the oppinion that he hasnt looked himself in any fight as far back as the Estrada fight.... and after THAT fight i though he should maybe hang them up....but hes still good enough to do what hes doing so I'm not really worried about either man. I think Mayorga looked GREAT better than he has in a long time, and like I said I'd love to see him against a guy like Cintron. as far as Mosley he needs to fight a serious contender again, if he wins he should fight for a title, if he looses then its probably just time to hang em up.

The only rounds Shane lost where the 1st 2 when he did next to nothing at all and maybe 1 or 2 latter on where he got into a non stop wrestling and hitting on the break fest. Shane was beating that ass and it really doesnt matter he brutally KOed his opponet anyway.

Well he isnt the 2000 Shane Mosley you cant expect that anymore but he was damn near flawless agianst good fighters in the Vargas rematch and Collazo fight pretty recently. Shanes still one of the best fighters out there. Cintron would be a waste of time Shane is 37 he needs big fights maybe like a Ricky Hatton fight or title fights.
