As title says. People here were laughing on me, but i have said that for years. AJ has all the tools to literally destroys Fury. A complete novice with bad speed and so-so power in terms of Boxing can put Fury to his *** and completely outbox him, AJ will destroys Fury with Ease. I have always says that. AJ have a destroyer uppercut and huge hooks inside, one of them to land and Fury is no more. AJ also have a great jab and actually his cardio is way better than people give him props for it. But that fight will never happen as Fury ducks everyone with a pulse.
I agree Furys clearly been ducking Joshua for years, was scared to death of him when he was unbeaten and still scared now because if he loses the stick he will get, similar to how Khan ducked Brook and only fought him at the end of their careers for some cash for his missus
Destroy him? Nah, not unless Fury comes in the form of today's fight lol. But I've also always thought Josh could at the very least pose a very difficult challenge to Fury and possibly even beat him. He's more skilled than a Wilder, and even now probably more aggressive than Klitschko was in he Fury fight.
I just find it hilarious It's like the Usyk Dubios situation. People thinking the pinhead had no chance because his ability is so poor compared to Usyk but BAM right in the belly. Boxing takes no prisoners. What Francis just did shows why it's the greatest sport on earth.
According to some boxing fans one poor Fury performance v Ngannu means that all his previous fights do not count. Why can Fury not just be in terminal decline because, as everyone has pointed out, he abuses his body and doesn't train properly? Not saying this definitely is the case, but one data point is not enough to draw these broad conclusions.
Certainly one thing now after that shite from Fury,Hearn will be licking his lips to put Joshua in with him now !
Fury never gave the sport a fraction of what the sport has given him, and it finally caught up to him in the most humiliating of ways.
I've always considered this fight very even, fluctuating between who I thought would win. Joshua, unlike Wilder, can fight at multiple ranges and is dangerous with a variety of shots, while Fury (before tonight) was the more natural and fluid fighter with the indomitable warrior heart. But Fury looks to have lost that edge and his body is now breaking down on him, so if Joshua can summon up some bloody fire in his belly and go for it like the Joshua of old he obliterates the flabby buffoon. By the way Joshua is twice the fighting man Fury is. Never thought I'd say this but it can't be truer than after tonight.
I've always felt (personallY) that Fury beats Joshua - but for some reason I think Fury doesn't exactly relish the idea of that fight. My inkling was always based on him not wanting to fight a big, relatively skilled heavyweight who can punch and is physically strong on the inside. I made a thread about this, but I kinda think this is why he struggled with Ngannou - and maybe supports my personal opinion about why I've always felt Fury wasn't in a hurry to fight AJ in the way that he has been to call out others.
