"I would have no one else but him in my corner because we feed off each other.
"I believe that loss has happened to give him the motivation that he needs to become world champion again.
"Choc (Mundine) and I are the same.
"People are always saying we can't do this and can't do that, but we want to be the best and that's what drives us."

Their professional relationship can only be a good thing, mundine is one of the greatest athletes of all time and that can only be positive for SBW.

I'm interested in how "the man" works the corner on fight night, he could be following tony sr into training as well as boxing.

If he can have Tony in his comer it will be a walk over for SBW and he have to listen and don't get wild

pretty even matchup but SBW will use his height and reach advantage. SBW to finish him in 5/6th round body uppercut!

I've no idea what the other guy is like, the last guys SBW fought should be a walk in the park for someone in reasonable shape. I think if he avoids emulating choc's style and develops his own style he'll be good to go. I'm interested in how the mundines are gonna have him box.

Why are people even discussing this as if it's a legitimate contest?

Both 'contestants' are training for this fight out of Mundine's gym :yep

On a related matter, years ago on the Footy Show when they did that '60 seconds with Sterlo' segment with Mundine, they did some word association with him, and when Sterlo threw out "Sonny Bill Williams" Mundine's immediate reply was "good looking"

Can i get some links etc to Sonny Boy ?

I remember he was the darling child when i was in Aus (am still a rezzy on paper) regarding the League.

Boxing wise, i know nothing of him and of course from an outsider scenario am wondering, how good is he ?

Is he in peoples eyes truly up for it or will he **** of back to Union (He was League when i had ma years.....i think) ?

Having Mundine in his corner aint a bad thing, i like him in many ways..........yet post Kessler it fell to bits.

As was mentioned, am intrigued as to the cornerwork.

Off topic, NOTHING beats a sunday avo via yank PPV !!!

    Thanks :thumbsup

interesting to read, quade cooper is turning into more of a grub by changing his management to khoder and mundane. Might see him inside the ring and follow in SBW footsteps

maybe we'll see him in against Karl Stefanovic or another big hitter on a mundane khoder circus show, fighting with the stars

Hairy, when SBW walked out on the Bulldogs league club, Mundine and Nasser were heavily involved, and they swooped in to pay out the $750k remaining of his contract to avoid legal troubles so SBW could play union in France (cue 20anus87 aka Poodle ****)

Since then, SBW has been financially obliged to Mundine and has appeared on 2 of his undercards against less than stellar opposition (both making their pro debuts and neither fighting since), as a way of paying Mundine back the $750k.

This Scott Lewis that he is fighting next is yet another ex-league player trying to make a buck out of boxing. His record is 3 W 4 L, his most notable win being that over yet another league player thinking he's a boxer in Carl Webb.

It is well-known that SBW's sparring partners have been instructed not to throw headshots during training, and Lewis is training out of the same gym - Mundine's.

The fact that SBW vs Lewis is being sold as the main event on a pitiful card is (IMO) Mundine testing the waters to see how gullible the public are - if the event sells well, Mundine will keep SBW under his control, because he is his next cash cow (now that Mundine's own career is all but over after his recent KO loss to unknown Garth Wood).

SBW in his 3rd bout should be facing someone who has a ring ranking?

I did that 60 seconds thing and they said IBM and it the answer was lame cat internet creepy puppet :good

Athletes getting the best deal for themselves :-(.

Yes i'm sure SBW is boxing against his will . Im sure this all makes sense in the reality only you and josef fritzl share.

SBW is being pimped out in the boxing world by Khoder Nasser to pay off debt.

    Simple stuff Ash.

SBW & "The Pioneers" relationship is a little Brokeback Mountain like.
