I'm just getting jack of this whole ****.
I watched UFC 125 on Fuel the other night, free that is.

    I pay $125 a month for Austar, & 60% of the channels I've got, I don't want, but I have to have.
Then they put the arm on me for $40-$50 to watch a local fight, that, like them useless channels, it's got a useless headliner.

No wonder us oldies fade away from the game & take our offspring with us.
The stupidity of it all is mind boggling.

Boxing will only ever return to FTA tv if a TV network sees the potential $$$ in it. For that to occur there has to be a groundwell of interest in boxing that the TV network can tap into and turn into ratings.

...and for that to happen there has to be quality, in demand boxing product out there. Not the crappy cards with main event mismatches, so typical of BOXA.

Actually the pre-lim fights for UFC125 were for free on fuel mate, not the main events. They do that so people switch over to main event channel and buy the PPV after getting a little taste of the pre-lims :good

So sox you are saying this card is good for boxing it is just that it being PPV is making it bad, I think that is a bit different to 90% on here who are saying that the card with SBW headlining is bad for boxing and they wouldn't watch it even if it was on Fox, with your view i agree the less PPV fights the better more fights on Fox and 1 is what is needed

Exactly mate. Showing the UC free (Well pay TV free) is a good promotional vehicle.
Mind you, I just had a look at the SBW UC,,,crikey, they're kidding,
Baff V Mumtaz & Pittmamn V TBA. That's an undercard????

I suspect that the penny may have dropped with these "tickets for a purse" rorts. Fighters/trainers are wising up.:good

With Baff vs his usual bum of an opponent in the undersize Mumtaz...WHOA the undercard is firing on all cylinders.
I predict the rest of the undercard
    Peter Mitrevski vs Bum
    Peter Kazzi vs Bum
    Fred Nagi vs Bum

    Hell no!
It's a bad card no matter what angle is used, however it could be excused if it was on FTA or Fox sports. There are heaps of bad cards.

It's inexcusable as a PPV, particularly for $40.
    Oh well, that's their opinion.
I have no problem with SBW, he has to start somewhere.
The issue I have is it being sold for too much money, as a consequence less people get to see it.
    Yep.

I have seen half a dozen fighters at press conferences hounding khoder to get on his undercards and happy to sell tickets for the privliage it might not be right but will be a while before it stops as there are a lot of fighters who want to be on choc undercards no matter what
