Botha has WAAAAAAY too much experience for SBW. Watch Sonny's face when Botha starts landing liver shots.

I will be stunned if Botha is stopped, except in the late rounds due to fatigue.

As IB said in the fantasy betting thread, he still eats clean power shots from legit, world class boxers without blinking.

no. he had player rugby previously and played RL.

RL and rugby are almost exactly the same.

you cant have been an athlete who never played either code and become world class at 26, but you CAN become a boxer. what does that tell you?:good

He'd never played Union until he walked away from the Bulldogs and went to France to play for Toulon in 2008.

I agree Union and League are similar, but I was answering Francine's uneducated post in a manner similar to his autistic style of posting.

No. SBW did not have a rugby background.

Well I apologise, I've been living under the misapprehension he's always been a leaguie. This has rocked me a bit, not much of a Union man :patsch

Funnily enough I know a lot of guys in those 1996/1997 Auckland West teams, same place and era as well....

Funny how they only keep a record of the Roller Mills, it's under-53kg right (or was)? You'd think most of the kids these days would be coming through the open weight stuff...

Yeah under 53kgs still, they should be putting it up i reckon haha. Not too many kids 12-13ish in that weight category these days i'd think. They seem to breed them big these days

I see it's now 55kg...and I think back in the old days it was 8 stone which is more like 51kg.

Still, most 11-12 year old gun rugby players these days would struggle to make that!
