Tony Mundine didn't dub Sonny Bill the next Ali for no reason. If Tony thinks that it's as good as a done deal :good
Look Sonny is a great athlete, I reckon he has looked pretty good considering his lack of training/experience in boxing. Next fight will be interesting. But he tries to copy Mundine (which is a copy mix of RJJ/Mayweather/Ali) which is no good for a novice. Hands Up. No lead rights. I think he will have 1-2 fights every year for next 6 years or so, then when Rugby over he will try full-time boxing and see how it pans out.
nowhere near like 5 years ago. But I watch on with interest that he becomes 'The Pioneer'' Choc is good to follow on twitter. His a very postive person
I think its a pretty even matchup considering SBW is no Ali. Tutaki has a lot of experience but I think Sonnys fitness will far outweigh Tutaki anyday!
Yes but the type of fitness required in Boxing is different to that of Rugby. SBW gassed quite early in a couple of his first 4 fights...
I have to agree with This content is protected here. I mean, who should SBW be targeting, the Klits? Should be a pretty good fight.
Agreed its totally the right kind of opponent for this stage of his career. in fact if anything, its closer to being too big of a leap from his last opponent...
Yes but Ive seen both boys spar and fight and I think SBW will have a bit more gas in the tank than Tutaki. Tutaki needs to visit weight watchers : )
not true. its dead in Australia and NZ. Everywhere else its very alive. This country has no respect for the sport, and the media know nothing about it thats why fights like this happen and no one in the media says ANYTHING. In America if you have a fight like this the media will eat you up. here we not only ignore it but we promote it , and then we have people who are we known say that SBW is like Muhammad Ali. australian Boxing is dead, thats a fact. its sad. But boxing in general is on the up. Wait till i start fighting, im gonna revive Aussie Boxing. We need a good HW to clear out the division of these bums. I saw Paul Upham on the train the other day, i told him to get his pen ready cos im on my way. and I promise if i do get up there ima make sure this country covers the sport well. and properly. but i better not get to far ahead of myself lol.
