Good news I guess, but Haymon and co. still got a good chunk of fighters with them and very good ones. I mean aren't Santa Cruz, Swift Garcia, Matthysse, even Maidana with Haymon?! Of course GBP has Canelo, Lara, but what does that really leave him with? Did Oscar just lose half of his star roster? I can see Chavez Jr joining Haymon fo sho IF things don't workout for him and Uncle Bob.

haymon can't be both, a manager and a promoter of the same fighter.

...and if floyd get's his own license (as he had planned with fiddy) floyd wouldn't need haymon.

 

All the fighters are contacted to goldenboy. Thet cant just leave!! They pay al haymon a fee to advise and manage them. This is nothing to do with a fighters contract to his promoter. So nothing is gonna change anytime soon. It might though when goldenboys fighters contracts start to run out if they dont wanna dign a new deal.

 

who are legit fighter from GBP that's attractive to TR fightere aside from Canelo?

If they really plan to move those fighters over and give Scahefer a new job the promotional outfit seems obvious: Mayweather Promotions. They've already had their own fight cards and would be as big when it comes to name recognition as anything else. Why in the hell not?

Then again, who is to say Haymon stops working with GBP to begin with?
