Scahefer no longer with Golden Boy

GBP fighters want to get paid. The undercards might take a hit with multiple third party promoters being involved, but the Haymon guys will still get the preferential treatment at Showtime. I don't think Berto really gave a crap that his 7-figure paydays at HBO came while he was with DiBella instead of GBP.

now some people claim that schaefer was on the outs because of the lack of deals with haymon fighters....and how that would make his company weaker.....so if oscar was asking richard to stay i think that speaks volumes about that whole argument

people need to realize that haymon is a damn boss...and if you want to do well for your company keeping a good relationship with haymon is key....and schaefer did that........just because theres a new business model thats creeping up doesnt mean its bad for the golden boy company

bro, aside from the time he fought his demons, Oscar was very active...he not only is the face of GB, he wants to make the best fights...and hate him or love him, since day 1 he's tried to give us just that, cause he was brought up the hard way, so he knows what it takes......Ellerbe is a ****en tic, if you believe him, then you have problems bro....Richard only left cause Oscar wanted to finally end the cancer that has caused many fans to look away, yet now all of a sudden Richard and al are the good guys ???? And Kathy Duva will be licking her chops, because her lawsuit hinges on Haymon violating the Ali act- that he acted too much in a promotional capacity instead of simply being a manager/adviser.

This is just more fuel to the fire for her claim that Haymon has crossed the line from manging to behaving like a promoter illegally.

 

Richard wasn't **** but a ****en "Fill in" during Oscars hard times....there's a huge team behind GB, and believe me, Richard was just a fill in.....glad I wont be seeing his annoying face or voice any time soon......good riddance

you do know that golden boys COO and main marketing guy....bruce binklow(i think thats his last name) is also expected to be leaving as well.....

there is a huge team at golden boy....and believe me....most of them like richard alot....hes been the guiding force for them for awhile....whether you wanna accept it or not....i believe it to be true....schaefer has built a good line of trust with alot of people and has been the day to day guy for along time
