Size alone does not win fights. If Canelo beats Floyd it's because he was the
better man that night. But feel free to bring up the weight excuse afterwards.

Great point. That's the whole problem with this. BlizzyBlizz can't have his cake and eat it too. He says he wants no excuses, then he complains that Canelo is too big. This is why the catchweight is so harmful to the build up of this fight. It creates excuses. If Canelo wins, FMJ fans will make excuses about how much bigger Canelo is, if Canelo wins they'll say he was drained. But it's all becuase of FMJ's insecurity. If there was no catchweight, people wouldn't be focusing on it as much. They might say Canelo is the bigger guy, but it wouldn't be used as an excuse (to counter an excuse from the other side) like it is now. In reality that's not the reason why people win fights. People win fights because they land the better punches. The weight classes are there to prevent fighters from having a large weight advantage. And these days as opposed to the old days there are so many weight classes to make weight less and less of an issue and theoretically less and less of an excuse.
