German boxing in the last few years has made efforts to get rid of its reputation as a corrupt sport, which is why the Sauerland have to go to ****ing Spain to get away with this sort of ****. Why is a german fighter fighting the british champion in spain ffs?

It's not all of German boxing, its just a few corrupt promoters. I imagine the German governing bodies look down on this sort of thing just like we do.

 

Even the big german promoters do this ****. No one can take german promoted boxing seriously after yesterdays fight.

It wasn't Sauerland but Turkish German Ahmet Öner's Arena Boxing who promoted the event.

Basically was held in Spain in co-operation with a local Spanish promoter after Öner's original plan to hold the card in Istanbul got scuffered when it got cancelled cos of a hand injury to also Öner promoted Sinan Samil Sam in his European title fight against Matt Skelton.
