Scarier Foreman or Tyson Hitting the Heavybag

speed kills but damn foreman leaving the dent

 

****, Foreman's bag is twice the size of Mike's and he leaves a god damn dent. Punch for punch, Foreman hits harder. I don't blame Ali for not looking.

 

Tyson's moving while he punches the bag to prepare for an opponent, George is just standing there beating on it.

Foreman was scarier.

 

I expect Tyson looked 'scarier' hitting it, especially as seen by someone from Tyson's era.


But Foreman hit it harder.

MUCH harder.

 

People who keep saying Foreman hit MUCH harder are exatarating, specially when using caps. A bit harder sure, MUCH harder? No.

 

So you are saying Tyson wasent born with raw power? Wrong. Bobby Stewart who was a former fighter himself claimed a 12 year old Mike Tyson hit him harder then anyone before in his life and even Teddy Atlas claimed Mike hit incredibly hard even at such a young age without any boxing knowledge so I think we cant dispute his fundementals.
And so on other hand you think that even if Foreman did no training whatsoever to improve his overall body performance he would still hit as hard? Think again. Punchers are born I agree, but they still have to work hard to get their power to such a big level and I dont care if their last name is Shavers, Foreman or Tyson.

We dont know that. I personally wouldnt want to get hit by either of them at this stage. :yep But I do of course agree Foreman probably has more brute strenght behind his punching power then anyone else.

A bit off topic here but I just want to say I find it silly when people look upon Shavers and Foreman for example as some sort of god's and then sniff their noses at Tyson saying ˙˙he was fast and KO'ed guys with combinations˙˙. Thats just silly. Just beacuse he had great hand speed and combination punching ability doesnt mean he didnt have brute punching power. What some are saying makes it sound like he never knocked out anyone with a single punch and needed dozens of them to get the job done. :nut
Im not claiming that Shavers and Foreman dont have a SLIGHT edge in the brute force department but its only a SLIGHT one not MUCH as some keep saying. Tyson knocked out probably half of his opponents with a single punch, he knocked them down with body shots, broke ribs, jaws, etc put them unconcious and even knocked them out 3 times with a single punch (Berbick ). I dont see anything in Shavers or Foreman that is more overly impressive. And Tyson DID knock guys out with short punches too and arm punches even. And I dont want anyone posting a quote by Holmes on how Shavers hit him much harder beacuse we all know Holmes says garbage and hates Tyson.
James Tillis went 10 rounds with Shavers in 82 and beat him to a UD and he came to Mike after their fight and said ˙˙Man you hit harder then Earnie Shavers``. Not saying its true but he said it anyway.

But I know people will continue to say stupid **** like ˙˙Tyson ko'ed guys beacuse of speed and combinations, Foreman had MUCH MUCH more punching power``. atsch

 

The bag is bigger beacuse Tyson was shooting a commercial, Foreman was training. I have seen Tyson (and im sure others did too) hit MUCH bigger bags than that, just as impressivly. But thats beacuse Cus had Mike work on a heavybag until he could freely move it and then get him a bigger one until there was a huge bag in Catskill that only Mike could move and nobody else budge...so the story goes.

But in those two clips, who looked scarier? Foreman, easily, beacuse as I said, Tyson has a small bag in front of him wich he is hitting for a TV shoot. atsch

 

Overall? It's a toss up.

If I was a punching bag who would I be more scared of? Foreman.

 

Charles Sonny Liston would be the right answer.

 

George was more powerful, while Tyson was more vicious.

I guess I'd go with "Big" George. Watching a man that unbelieveably powerful smacking around a heavy bag like that would scare the **** out of anyone. Poor heavy bag. :-(

I think tyson looks more impressive because he's so damn fast and all he's punches are correct. But damn Foreman got some power

Tyson. He actually looks like a boxer, but with top end power. Foreman just looks like a brute who is waiting to be taken advantage of by the first skilled, durable boxer he faces. Which is exactly what happened. That said, Foreman did hit ****ing hard.
