Who were the most terrifying guys in history for the first 3 minutes of a fight...i'll throw out some names 1)Mike Tyson 2)Bob Satterfield 3)Terry McGovern 4)Jack Dempsey 5)Gerald McClellan
John L. Sullivan. The man made his name and living dispatching challengers quickly. Shavers? Earnie had 21 first round knockouts, but he was also floored in the first by Jerry Quarry and Jeff Sims, and Jimmy Ellis also had him going and virtually helpless in a corner before the referee's break gave Shavers the opening he needed. Unlike Ellis, JQ did finish the job on Earnie, and that alone makes Jerry a frightening first round opponent. Joe Louis belongs in any discussion concerning this. Stan Poreda, King Levinski, Charley Retzlaff, Max Schmeling, John Henry Lewis, Jack Roper, Buddy Baer and Tami Mauriello were not exactly stiffs and tomato cans. Those were just the one round stoppages. Adolph Wiater and Natie Brown both lasted the full ten, but not without getting decked in the first three minutes. Pastor and Paychek both went down multiple times at the outset of their challenges for Joe's title. Galento and Braddock had nerves of steel to take their opening rounds from Louis.
he did ko larry holmes twice as an amateur as well ,once in the 72 olympic trials and once in a golden golden glove national event.
Yes he does and for those who get annoyed with first round KOs it is always nice to watch the Arreola KO over and over.
