The old Manassa Mauler Jack Demposey ,holds the record for heavyweights. Twenty five first round ko;s.
Dempsey probably tops it - that savagery against Willard was about as scary as it gets - every time i watch that fight its scary enough just watching the first minute and a half or so watching Dempsey moving around waiting for his chance - coz you know the pain soon going to be coming Willard's way Gerald McClellan is a good shout aswell - that guy was a dreadnought - that first round against Nigel Benn!! I'll never know how Benn made it through - but damn G-Man was pretty mean
big hitter but aside from the lewis fight, i never saw him show the kind of aggression and intensity that really invokes fear
He has a lot of first round knockouts. Though against mostly shitty opposition. I wouldn't sell short his performance against Lewis. I think Briggs was a pretty dangerous fighter when at his best.
Or maybe he just wasn't good enough against hard-hitting professionals and ones who could go a few rounds.
