    Ok...

    Here Is The Situation

Fighter A is a extremely fast fighter with very little power, he is capable of shutting fighters out because of his quickness & elusiveness defensively but because of these traits he is a defensive fighter.

Fighter B is an extremely Crude fighter with very heavy hands, technically he isnt very good at all. He tries to knock you out as soon as possible by over whelming you and just beating you into a bloody pulp. His Only Defense is the fact that he will eat a couple of your punches to get off his way heavier punches

    Here is the Scenario

Fighter A Fought Against Fighter B and the fight goes to a decision. Fighter B through 50 punches per round and landed 1 per round because Fighter A danced around all of fighter B's Punches. Fighter A danced around all of fighters B's Punches but he only through 10 punches per round but landed 3 per round.

Who would you be more inclined to judge the fight for?

Dirrell won the fight either way you view it, fighter A or fighter B, and he did it despite the ref supporting Froch.

its not just that specific fight though man... a lot of fights are turning out like that

malignaggi vs diaz was similar to this... malignaggi outlanded and out jabbed but everyone said the jabs didnt matter because they were just "jabs" and diaz deserves the rounds because he "pushed"the fights and tried to bring the pain..

i dont see how you get awarded for getting punched in teh face more than your opponent

Without seeing the actual fight it's hard to tell.

Some times 3 jabs can be more effective nad telling thna 1 power punch.

Usually the guy who lands more wins.

yeah i know... ****ing sucsk... i wish i could draw a round by round scenario or something but i just hate how people this year have been sticking so hard with "being agressive" yet the guy who is being aggressive is getting tagged all over teh place and the "less agressive" fighter ususally walks out of the fight with a clean face and an extra L on their record

Yeah there are lots of factors really- for example a Mikkel Kessler jab or Larry Holmes jab (power jab basically) mabye worth 3-4 jabs from a average power because of the speed and power on it (which means it catches the judges attention more).

here is another question i have...

lets say the weak handed puncher outlanded the heavy handed puncher by like 5:2

but the heavy handed punchers shots were WAY stronger.... yet he didnt knock out the weak handed fighter.... who deserves the points in that case..

i really think this phony aggression concept needs to be taken head on

He landed a lot less than 30% of his jabs.

Well I know that there are similar fights and this is just another example... the more casual and very biased fans usually don't like the more defensive, technical boxers, they like guys like hatton, froch, duddy, past prime tyson more than an evasive boxer like Floyd. Floyd vs DLH was a clear win, but the more aggressive fighter is usually more popular. The most likable guys have an edge. Probably a money issue sometimes as well

    Who's doing more damage?

If fighter B's punches are WAY stronger and then I'd say he's winning the FIGHT. The other guy can dance all he wants and flick out weak punches but if he's getting clobbered with hard, damaging shots in the process, he loses.
