That's merely a convention adapted by The Ring, not an airtight rule that all must adhere to.

I honestly stopped paying attention to any P4P list for a while now. It's based purely on one's subjective opinion.

yup. so for example, floyd has already mentioned that he is not interested in fighting real soon and has basically turned down the pac fight, they could pull him down or completely take him off the rankings. of course every ranking org has their own set of rules.

Or they could ignore the one year of inactivity rule altogether. That's why the Scene also has him as the lineal champion at 147 still.

ESPN, Ring, and S.I are the top 3 IMHO.

He beat Manny...your 2b...or if your going off of official decisions then Manny got beat by Bradley.

Either way Manny is 1-1 in his last 2 fights.

Beat Bradly but lost to Marquez unofficially.

Beat Marquez but lost to Bradley officially.

This P4P list is depressing. I actually used to respect Cliff Roid, can't say the same now.

You know, I have no problems with Ward being #1. I wouldn't put him there, but Pacquiao doesn't belong in top 3 right now because he's been beat by Marquez and looks beatable in general.

Pac should be #5 at best. His fight with Bradley was close and he clearly lost to JMM in November. Move everybody else up one spot.

I realize P4P rankings are entirely subjective, but they should have some kind of valid reasoning behind them.
