Personally I rather like that they have one ranked over the other regardless of who comes out on top.

Because The Ring's 2A/2B version is the ****ing dumbest **** I have ever seen. No future list will ever top that bull****.

I'm not even pissed about Pac being #2, he weight gain deserves recognition, but Ward at #1, ridiculous.

I ahve no problem with Pacquaio at #2, its not too long ago that he was looking sensational, depends how far back you want to go. He still beat top 10 ranked Bradley in his last fight. But Mayweather at 3 is pretty stupid. In my opinion he is either 1st or joint 1st (I like the ring rankings) as he is probably still the most skilled fighter around, or if they are going to punish him for inactivity they should take him out of the list all-together. I still have reservations for Ward at #1 at this moment in time as he fights in Oakland a lot and and his win over Dawson is tainted somewhat with the weight issue. Although a case can be made for him. I think he will be future P4P #1 if he keeps it up but at the moment I'd still have Mayweather, Pacquaio and Martinez ahead of him. JMM above Martinez I wouldn't have: Martinez is lineal MW champ off a sting of impressive performances. Apart from Pacquaio, JMM resume isn't all that deep lately, although I'd still have him at maybe 5-6 mainly on the back of his fight with Pacquaio, but not much higher.

All in all its a pretty bad list

I think that is good reasoning, I share that opinion largely when it comes to my own rankings.

That's what counts, at least the Mayweather fans are happy with that statement.
