I can see why they want it but Amir is probably our most naturally talented fighter right now ( between him and Haye ) and I really really want him to silence the critics and go on to be a british legend. If this fight had been the one before he got his belt I would have had nothing to say but now he is the champ I want him to go clean out the division ( which i truly beleive he is capable of )

yeah marquez is still a good name but ( for me ) it smells of picking a guy on the slip ( and a guy who , when the get in the ring together is gonna look like a midget next to him ).

I guess its not a terrible fight but I've just had such high hopes since he went to the Wild Card I want to see him tear through the LWWs

This will be similar to the Juan Diaz fight. Khan will race into an early lead but Marquez, being the smart fighter he is, will figure Khan out and win by late KO.

JMM still wants to avenge his loss to MP and what better way to set up a rematch than knocking out Manny's stable mate.

Good fight for Amir....he'll be facing a guy with a big name who is fighting above where he should and will hold all the advantages against an aging warrior who is on the slide. A good choice in opponent for the young Jr WW. JMM shouldn't be fighting above 135.

Shhhhhit.....His performance against Juan and Casa is where I saw the man begin to be on the slide. He doesn't have a good chance at beating Amir. North of 135 JMM looses his natrual attributes that made him a threat at the lower weights. He had good speed, good power and good reflexes at or below 135. Above 135 he only has his skills and instinct....he looses his speed, power and reflexes. This isn't a good look for JMM.

precisley correct , his skills will keep him in it but Khan has the edge in speed and a pretty massive reach and natural size advantage.

fair comment, i agree like, i want to see him fighting the LW's, so so many good match ups for him there, if he does the job against marquez though, its only going to make those potential fights all the more mouth watering imo

hell, he might even still be fighting maidana yet, fair play to the lad for not fighting mallanagi though, i wouldnt have been happy with that fight, at least marquez is a KO threat

i think he will do, 9/10 boxers would have suffered the same KO as he did against prescott had they fought the fight khan did.... i think hes ouzing with talent, we'll hopefully get to see it

i like this fight for khan though, a good decision over someone just beat on decision by mayweather wont look to bad on his resume, it will give the casual fan in america a better dea of what hes all about anyways, hell, even us lot will find out a lot about khan in the next few match ups

    bring it on!

Well , I mean he aint ever gonna be Jake LaMotta but yeah he seems to have given up on the old plan of charging chin first into pucnches so that can only help :D

    Bring it on indeed !

Khan wins this by TKO, too big, too fast and too young.

I wanted Khan to fight Maidana first but this is just as good.

I still want to see this fight too.....but Maidana may have been a bad move for Amir at this time...not that he couldn't outbox Maidana but Maidana is dangerous....this fight is a safer and smarter move.
