I find that hard to beleive. Froch did say that and Eddie Hearn also confirmed they were looking at Frochs career. But he would not go out on a defeat. Even if he got a job at Sky as a pundit... he wouldn't be able to live with himself that he retired and got out on a humiliating defeat. No chance
It is the kind of thing that's a lot easier to say after you've just knocked the bloke out. Froch has already excused himself for losing to Kessler and Ward, he'd probably come up with a reason as to why Bute beat him and still chase the Kessler rematch. Anyway, that's by the by. If someone who has slagged you off on many previous occasions leaps in hours after you've been knocked out to offer some 'honest advice' (hinting that you should consider retirement), you'd take it as a cheap shot. Brook managed to be classy about it and not long back Khan accused him of being on coke. Froch couldn't help himself.
