first off, im no superfan of pac..i respect what he has done...

second...of course mayweather will cherry pick the guy that has been knocked on his ass 10 times already who has been at 147 for about 1 minute..
    classic floyd....

for the record...i think pac-shane mosley is ****ing bull**** and the promoters think most fans are idiots, when shane has looked like **** for the only 2 times in 2 years he has fought....(and no wins and almost 40 years old) but they are building it as ali-frazier 1

**** YOU BRO MOSELY IS A HOF FIGHTER....:yep that nullifies everything and this a Grade A showdown. Mosely has had a 20 year career and is shot to **** but just over look that ok... HOF remember.

It would've been a grade A showdown years ago, Shane is arguably coming off 2 losses mate.

It's funny cause you don't understand. EVen if Mosley is not in his prime as least he's shown that he's been able to reach that level. You are talking like a guy like Ortiz who has only been 12 rounds once in his entire career is better than a HOFer because that HOF'er lost to the 2nd best fighter in the sport and then drew a weightclass above. Ortiz wasn't good enough to beat a B-class fighter like Maidana at 140 but now he is better than Mosley at 147 cause he had one good fight where he got decked twice but still managed to win.

that's flogic right there. What have you done for me lately and nothing else matters. So quick to buy in to the hype.

    Philla and Doc,

They're both **** fights. Stop making out that one's good and the other isn't.

That's pathetic, Ortiz? The only bright side is that he's better than Spada lolz.

It still stands that Ortiz>Mosely right now at this stage of their careers...

If we are looking at resume's then yeah you have a point... you don't have a 20 year old career and a become a HOF fighter without doing nothing... but Obviously that fighter is not gonna be there with PAC but an old shell of himself...

I don't really care though we all know both fights are **** fights, and I am just pissed cause you try to justify it by saying MOSELY is HOF and that changed everything and is now a Grade A prime for Prime match.

Actually, '****' is probably too strong a word. They're both fights with reasonably live opponents but not great opponents.

I've kind of reached the point where I hope that whoever Pac and Floyd fight somehow manage to beat them, just to teach them a lesson about behaving cynically in their fight selection, even though I doubt it will happen. It's not quite 'cherrypicking', but it's close enough to be cynical as hell.

    Seconded.

But I'd like to see the fight. It would be an exciting fight, or at least it could be. Ortiz would press the attack.

**** Ortiz, fight Pacquiao for **** sake.

Ortiz wouldn't stand a chance. He's b-class , any way you cut it.

Makes perfect sense for Golden Boy. Arum would milk this Ortiz hype for all its worth if Ortiz were with Top Rank. We'd probably see him fight some set-ups, if not Manny immediately. Makes perfect sense for Floyd too. Most people consider it an acceptable tuneup, and it wouldn't hurt to have a tuneup against a hard hitting southpaw who has buzz right now.

i dont know about you...but if i was paying manny pacman 15-20 million to fight...he would have to earn it...not by fighting the GHOST of Shane Mosley
dont you like to pay for good fights? or fights that will be one sided and you can say, well even though shane lost every round, he had a great 20 year career! well, we are saying that BEFORE they fight...its a rip off...

shane mosley WAS a great fighter

SHANE MOSLEY is ALMOST 40 years old

he hasnt won in 2 years

now he is fighting pound for pound #1 guy in the world
