I would like this fight. Safe enough for Floyd as a southpaw tune-up, but exciting and competitive enough that it's a good win and entertaining fight.

This fight with Ortiz is Baldomir all over again.

A crap champion ( Judah / Berto) is beaten by a very average contender( Bald/ Ortiz).

Floyd then beats Ortiz in a snoozer , because this is the same man who couldnt adjust to Peterson for Christ sakes.

Berto is a one dimensional Lacy , muscle bound swinger who should have been knocked out of the sport by Mosley over a year ago. Christ I put Cintron ahead if head could make 147.

I agree to some extent, but Ortiz is much more of a threat.

    Let's make it happen.

$ only fights people coming off good wins and have a name to help sell the event. Ortiz definitely has the first. The latter can be worked on.

Not too many fighters had their mothers abandon their family and then grew up with an abusive father only to get ditched by him too. Victor seems like a genuinely kind person. Floyd is Floyd. It'll be the ultimate bad guy/underdog good guy drama story on 24/7.

How about the story 24/7 of a poor filipino boy , who at the age of 6 had his father leave and at the age of 14 have to leave school and support his mother and 5 siblings due to being too poor . Then through hard work and a god gifted talent became the best fighter on the planet.

This might be the ultimate drama story on HBO rather than Ortiz???

Ortiz story isn't too different. I don't research manny's life like you do, but I don't recall his mother being abusive. At least he still had a parent who gave him support.

That would be great if you hero would take the test.

Mayweather is a certified coward and ducker. He won't fight a young lion who he won't be able to overpower or outspeed. Look at the age of his last 2 opponents. He wants no part of Ortiz

^^^ If he never fought Shane, people would still be saying 'Floyd will never fight Shane'/'Floyd is ducking Shane'. Doesn't matter who Floyd does or does not fight. Haters will ALWAYS hate.

pac would take the test and floyd would take another easy fight that will not threaten his "0" and his fans would just regard it as a "tune-up". we've seen this before from floyd, same move everytime.
